You certainly have a good point there. LOL. I don't see age as a problem unless a younger guy is just out looking for a cougar. I personally am not into that nor do I need a boy toy. People can still have a connection in spite of their age differences.

.. i completely agree .. and I wasn't only referring to a guy/woman partnership situation .. more in general .. I have a 26 year old son and we are the best of friends .. even listen to a lot of the same music .. the generation gap these days is of little consequence these days .. NOTHING like it was between myself and MY parents!! .. I remember my mother used to freak out if i was planning on wearing jeans to go out!
well if you are my age and you act like a old man i am not interested. if you are my age and still have life left in you and want to live it i am interested.
i think it depends on how they act But i don't go under 40,i think the age difference would be to much,i want to be on the same page with a person i date or marry.

I am tired of people saying i'm old when they hear the number sixyish. Fit, healthy, active, feel and look younger. today people take care of themselves and then there are forty year olds that look and act as if they are eighty. There is nothing that the panelbeater cant fix.

When I read this, I remember a man, twice as old as me, claiming that "age is just a number" and that "fumbling youngster" would never be able to... "satisfy" me the way he can... yuck!
I DO NOT THINK that age is just a number. Age gap, as well as marital status, kids, ethnicity (I'm talking about mentality differences, not colours), interests and education is VERY important in choosing a possible life partner.
