Whats it take to find that right man now days? They are like dinasours,endangered speices.If i could write a book about it,it would never get finished cause i would always be searching for the right answers. What does it take to find the real thing?

How old is old?,Iam 55,but i don't really think of it as old,just experience in life.I guess it all depends on the couple,and what turns them on.

LionHearted1976, I know people like that,and it is sad.I don't need booze to get my courage up.The way i figure, a person has a better chance of believing what you say,when you are sober,cause your brain is not pickeled and you have a clear head. If i were to get sauced!!!, i would be a silent TimeBomb,It does take an awful lot to set me off,iam not easy to Rile!!!! Try and show your friend,that nomatter what, you will listen to him,and try to understand.Maybe that might give him a little confidence to try and tell you,while he is sober.

The sad thing about it,it is my sister.We have always confided in each other,when things changed.Now she just procrastinates,and makes things worse.I love her,but now i feel i can nolonger trust her

Ihave often wondered ,just what other people would say,if they felt that somone very near and dear broke a long planned promise,and betrayed your trust? Someone close to me,pulled the rug out from under a long time plan,that could very well put a damper on things.It hurts.

Well!!! that wouldn't be too awful hard to say.I love my country,and i love the DeepSouth.I would say, that i would live in Louisiana,not in SouthEastern part,but SouthCentral, Don't get me wrong, i can swim,but i like dry land.I would say,America,and Louisiana.I would be down there by myself, cause i have yet to find that special someone.

It's the PITTS!!!!being lonely!!!

It is really the PITTS!!!,when you are lonely,and wishing you had that special someone.I have been single,and i mean single!! since my splitup with my husband,back in 1975.I date now and then,but nothing serious.I got alot of friends,but it sure does not makeup for the good TLC!!! This is why i come to this site,ConnectingSingles.Looking for a good oldfashioned Country man.What do you do,when your chin hits the ground and,feeling like a sad puppy? Trusting your own beliefes.

I have so often heard from many people,that sometimes what we may believe and hold near and dear may not be the best .I have a parent who believes that she is always right,and that i should do like she used to to do when she was young.She was born in the 30's.She is wise is somethings,but totally outdated in others.I was born in the begining of the early 50's and alot of what she did was a bit oldfashioned to a degree,Her idea about Love and Dating is bring him home to the parents,so they can pass inspection on him.That is a bit premature,if you have just met him,and you don't know how well things will go with your relationship.I believe that it is best to wait and see if you 2 do click,before scaring him to death when bringing him in front of your family She lives in the past!!! you know, like the days of Ozzie and Harriot What would you say to this and how would you react? Ineed some good imput!!!!

Iam a woman,and in my opinion,looks are not everything.It is what is inside and a mans nature.I have known some really snotty men, in my days who were Real Hunks!!!,and some men who were lets say Plain as Pumpkin Pie.Deep down inside,they had a wonderul heart,but were treated like WallFlowers.SAD!!!!To say, many of them became bitter and mean,and withdrew from the world of women.I would rather go with someone who was simple and plain,than to be somebody who got stuck on their selves,This is just my oipinion,Ican't speak for the rest of the women.

In what manner are you speaking? There are alot of good women in here,you just got to know what it is you are looking for.Ask around, and who knows, you might find that special lady.Is she prim and proper?,Casual looking,or a simple country looking lady.A lady can be many things underneath,but you got to get to know where she is coming from before you can judge her one way or the other.Some just like to have a little fun,not seriously,and some tend to be abit straight forward. Iam a very casual Country Lady,who likes to have alittle fun now and then.I hope you find your ideal mate.GOODLUCK!!!!

LongDistance relationships are a real challenge for some of us,me for one.Make plans to meet in a nutral place,and kinda like a vacation for both of you,and see how well you get along first,and then take it from there.Never go blindly down there,thinking they will be the same in person as they were when you were apart and just writing.Now this is just my opinion,and what i learned myself.

I been in that situation before.And really neither one of us knew for sure where it was going to go.I was 19,and he was a good 15 years older than me.Infact he was my eldest childs GodFather.And a very near and dear friend,even after my divorce from my Ex We began to date,.Today,after nearly 36 years of a strong friendship,we both made the choice of just keeping the true and deep friendship and trust,that we always had.It was tough,but today i think about it,and iam glad, that we did not try and take things further,God only knows what would have happened.We are still good friends.He has his life and i have mine.All i can say ,is do what ever you think you should do,but be prepared for the outcome.GOOD LUCK!!!

The line that separates what is and what is not,is a very fine line.These are defind ways folks try to make the facts of life,and the joining of 2 people and issues of togetherness. I believe, in my heart,that Real true Love,can overcome the most powerful and destructive things,that any relationship has to offer.Infatuation to me is like having a wild and mad crush on someone,to the point of no return.Forcefulness is wrong.Taking control of anothers mind,life and future,with agressive behavior,in any way.Whats your opinion on this subject.Iam all ears!!!

Well, today the word marriage,could mean alot of different things to alot of folks.Some folks feel that its a way to get the legal things in life they couldn't have other wise,without a fuss and battle.Some states have marriage classes for those who do want to tie the knot.If iam not mistaken, they have them here in Washington State,for whatever it's worth i mean.To me,marriage, or commitment however you want to put it,is a serious choice, that 2 people make and join into it,without any doubts in their hearts,and it would take an act of God to separate them.The days,when in the 50's and 60's,folks took marriage serious,Till death do us part.Ozzie and Harriot days, I look at my grandmother,today, and her and my grandfather have been together,since 1938,now thats a long!!!long!!!! time.Those were the good days i guess.Iam leaving my life and future in Gods hands,and maybe i will get lucky.Maybe!!!!!

I know that there are many of us,who struggle everyday,just to survive,the memories of our past.Hoping for the best.What is so scary is when your whole life flashes before your eyes,and you are caught having to make a choice in what direction you will go.They say, life is what you make it,Not So!!!!We all try to make life as good as we can,but there is always a shadow that looms ahead,and you can't seem to reach the light.STALE MATE!!!!.Should you try to go back, and maybe fix it up,or do you tredge on and Only God Knows what the future will bring.I have always wondered,just what other folks would do and how would they face that long tunnel of life.I would love to hear from some folks.

I know it is very frustrating to those of us,who don't believe in cheating,but unfortunatly some make a real practice out of it,and they think it is cute.Well!!!! it is not.They say that trashy people, go to Bars,and thats the only place you run into them,that is total B/S!!!!! you find them under every rock in the world.It is good honest and caring people,like so many of us,that come to the point of life,that sometimes we mis-interpret alot of things and we are still alone.I totally understand where you are coming from,cause i have been in your situation.It is hard to know who you can trust with your heart,and who you can't.

Yes!!! Love can be very!!very!! painful and sometimes brutal.It sometimes leads to emotional stress,as well as body.When you think you are in love,and your partner does not show it back,the way they should.Mark!!!my word,i know where as of i speak.So yes, it can be alot of pain.
