Yes, it is a shame that more people can't be kind and understanding and sympathetic towards people who are going through difficult times and situations.
My motto is to do unto others as you would want done for yourself. Being kind and nice is just human nature JMO. I've always followed through with people and have been there for the hard times and just want the person to feel that someone is there for them and genuinely cares.
Time means that people don't follow through with their words and actions. It is a shame that people can't back up their words and actions. It does not cost anyone anything to be a friend and nice to someone in a bad situation, whether sick or someone dying, just be the better person and follow through with your words. I know I am honest and truthful and will always call and check up on that person.
[size=6]Rohann - I'm sorry people have disappointed you in the past by not following through on their words. I absolutely say what I mean and follow through with my words and actions. I am a firm believer in always being nice and lending a helping hand whenever necessary.
I'll even go the extra mile and call the person and see how they are, and ask if they need anything, and will also call and ask if they are up for a visit and surprise them with some homemade treats.
I sincerely hope you come across some nicer people who go the extra mile and actually do what they say, and follow through with their actions.
