My poem seemed to get me nowhere. Apparently nobody could read "between the lines" like I thought. So I replaced my old pic with a more updated one, and broke down and opened my heart and made a new, clearer profile. This is probably leading with the chin, but I would like some feedback. Over a year ago - this little kitten came on my porch. It was bleeding, half starved, and oh so tiny. I threw it a grilled hotdog. I had no idea what I had done. It grabbed the hot dog and left like a bullet. Days later it came back. I gave it a bowl of milk. It drank greedily. Then I put some cat food on the porch each day for it to eat. One day I was sitting on my porch and the cat jumped on my lap and fell asleep purring. Winter was approaching and I knew the cat would die. I opened up my door, and gave the cat a choice, my home and heart or life ouotside in the cruel world. She walked in looked around and ran back outside, but stopped on the porch and looked across the street and back to me - then of her own free will she came in. Today that cat is my best friend. She is full grown and healthy and oh so beautiful. All her wounds have healed and she has the richest, shiniest coat. I swear though I think she is half human. She can read my mind before I even know what I am thinking.
Here is what I want. Wish me luck in finding it. Who I'm looking for : You are looking for that special someone to complete your life not control it. You will be very secure in who you are and what you want. You will be someone who is looking for a heart within not only looks on the outside. Although an initial attraction is a must between both parties, some people never learn that looks fade over time, the most important is, THE HEART & THE MIND. If you are someone who thinks the grass is always greener on the other side, well, THAT grass will eventually need mowed also. And hopefully, you will get tired of looking for greener grass someday. Timing is critical, two people need to be at the same place in a relationship or very close in order for it to succeed. Also real communication and not just the "lip" talk that we all have either given out or received at sometime in our lives is crucial. The ideal would be two people who look forward to beginning and ending their day together and not knowing which one they enjoyed more. The woman I seek is, loving, giving, strong when she needs to be, but weak enough to accept what is given, smart, yet willing to learn, love public displays of affection, has a passion burning inside, yet knows when the time is right to let it run free, honesty that comes from the truth, and most of all, be willing to laugh at his mistakes, and be forgiving of herself. For we all are not perfect, but the right one makes us feel as if we are. "My Promise to you whomever you may be. hell there is tons of songs - try open arms by journey - or nothings gonna stop us now - by jefferson starship - there are many songs out there to describe a mans love for a woman.
OMG! Someone actually knew the definition! I did end up graduating from college and with highest honors yet. I am so thankful that knowing the definition of that word was not a requirement to graduate..lol
Hello to everyone. And if I actually knew the definition of that word I just spelled, I would be rich or considered smart. Of which I am neither. I'm just havin a little innocent fun trying to snap out of this depressed state I am in. God bless you all.
How about scrambled eggs with a little diece onion and a spinkle of sugar in them, hashed browned potatoes, sausage links, some toast with honey butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon, a glass of fresh squeezed orange juuice and a nice hot cup of coffee - top it off with a kiss and a good morning hug and it is a good way to begin a day!
The best date in my opinion is to just simply follow each others hearts. To just kind of be spontaneous and go with the moments. I had all kinds of ideas for my first date - horseback riding, boating, swimming, a concert, dancing - ended up simply spending some very romantic quiet moments together and that turned out to be the best date in the world. I'm not sure if a person can plan how to date someone - I find when I plan things - something always comes up. Best thing for me to do is get out of my own way..lol. So far that has worked for me!
Wow! Thank you all very much! Was just talking to Nancy on the phone. She has not seen this thread yet. We had such a great time together. We talked, went out to dinner, we listened to some music and I sang to her. We went for a very romantic walk in the moonlight. Nothing heavy, just getting to know each other. I felt like I died and went to heaven. Who would have ever thought internet dating would work? Just goes to show you - it pays off in the long run to actually look like your picture, and to actually be honest and real with a woman. A good woman will always make a good man better and it looks like I am on my way to greatness. Since she went back home Monday morning - we have been burning the phone lines up..lol. Thank God for cellphones with FREE long distance! Hugs to everyone here!
I just wanted to say thank you to connect singles. I signed up on here about a month ago and last week, I found the woman of my dreams! We met in person last Sunday. She actually came to me. I was not sure exactly what to expect. I had never did this sort of thing before. Low and behold though, an angel appeared before my eyes. She was beautiful from head to toe and she had a personality that matched her beauty. We had a great time. She seemed to be as pleased with me as I was with her. She is coming back to stay the weekend with me this Friday and I can't remember the last time I have been so happy. And to think this all started by simply posting a profile on Connect Singles. I wrote my profile in a poem. I had this idea that if a woman could read between the lines - she was well worth meeting. This one did! Nancy .. I Love You Hun! Thank you once again Connect Singles!

Honey, there are a lot of playas, and internet freaks on here - if ya got a broken heart - just admit it and bounce back - never let a person - especially a ma live rent free in your heart and mind. ( damn did I just say that) Oh well. Hang in there. Behind every coloud there is a rainbow - I am sure yours is on the way!
