RE: What are you drinking right now?

Good morning. You don't want this stuff, for the reasons cited above!

RE: friendship

Welcome, and have fun. Lots of great peeps here...

RE: What are you drinking right now?

Some REALLY STRONG coffee. Funny, the hair on my chest seems to be growing...

RE: $$ and sense

Paris Hilton has a lot of money. I'll leave it at that...

RE: hey everyone come in here...

Okay, I'm ingnorant. I've seen the sole word "bump," and have not a clue as to the intention behind it? confused

RE: What do you look for in a significant other?

Many of the same things cited here - and one more: Skill with the written word that just about blew my brains out. wink

RE: most romantic thing your SO has done for you...

This is going to sound dumb, but that's not new territory for me.

I was looking at a new bike. Got all the paperwork ready to go and my then-girlfriend, the banker, did not like the interest rate and just went ahead and PAID FOR THE THING out of a home equity line.

Romantic? Hmmmm. Maybe not. Significant? Well, it got my attention.

And yes, paid back in full - and quickly.

RE: Is everyone meant to be loved??

We keep trying, a noble cause, this.

Realistically, we are likely all loved in some capacity, although recognition of this can be a bit sketchy.

RE: Why don't men approach women if interested in them?

True - but some clarification needed here, lest I find myself in trouble. This was not an indictment of (some) of the women here, rather (some of) the "men" that engage in these acts of a peacock. I should've put quotation marks around "men." That would have helped.

RE: CS is our village.

Perfect sense. At the end of the day, things are just things...

RE: Why don't men approach women if interested in them?

Excellent. Now if I could just stop laughing about that pic... rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Why don't men approach women if interested in them?

Men don't actually approach women here, they just accidentally drop large wads of cash at the mall. Or their Porsche keys.

Oh God am I jaded or what? I need help...

RE: Calm in the Storm

Fabulous. And thank you...

RE: CS is our village.

Thank you for this - I love the thinking.

The international aspect is a huge draw to me here. I seldom get to see how the world thinks, much less respond to it.

I am not what those around here call wealthy, but I do okay. I am more successful than I was five years ago. I have nicer things, but that does not necessarily make a nicer life.

RE: What car

Makes my day since I am the resident Car Geek with Mazda's ad agency.

Today, it is a 2006 MX-5 Miata with Mazdaspeed springs and Borbet wheels - tomorrow, it becomes a 2007 MAZDA3 5-Door...dancing

RE: How do you handle this...

I thank them for their note, and wish them well in their search.

I would also tell them that I have an interest right now and I am waiting to see how it pans out. Which, remarkably, is actually true. cool

RE: Goodnight new friends

Have a good evening.

RE: I dont want to get on religion again but...

I am somewhat religious, but never felt it was my place to beat someone over the head with it, nor judge someone based on their beliefs, or lack thereof. It's all good...

RE: astrology and dating

Thank you.

I also found comfort in that it was a woman, and I had never heard of the Me sign before...

RE: astrology and dating

I guess I never paid much attention to the sign thing. What is the best match for a Pisces?

RE: hey everyone come in here...

Nah, people will start saying things - bad things... laugh

RE: hey everyone come in here...

Uh oh, this thread is dying. Look! I'm a cheerleader! cheering

RE: Material things..Or true love?

You'd probably have to get that AFLAC duck or something...

RE: Dont u hate it....

I hear ya. I actually have not looked at a local search in, jeez, months. I'm content to hang out here...

RE: The Perfect date

Anywhere, and anything, where the conversation goes into the wee hours...

RE: hey everyone come in here...

applause Woo-hoo! yay

RE: Fixing Cars and dealing with Mechanics

Fortunately for me, other than exhaust systems and tires (the former I'm too lazy to do these days, the latter has me lacking a tire-changing machine), I do all my own work.

The daily drivers these days are all newer, so less of an issue, but I've had a number of older cars that still have my blood on them somewhere...
