This is going to sound dumb, but that's not new territory for me.
I was looking at a new bike. Got all the paperwork ready to go and my then-girlfriend, the banker, did not like the interest rate and just went ahead and PAID FOR THE THING out of a home equity line.
Romantic? Hmmmm. Maybe not. Significant? Well, it got my attention.
True - but some clarification needed here, lest I find myself in trouble. This was not an indictment of (some) of the women here, rather (some of) the "men" that engage in these acts of a peacock. I should've put quotation marks around "men." That would have helped.
The international aspect is a huge draw to me here. I seldom get to see how the world thinks, much less respond to it.
I am not what those around here call wealthy, but I do okay. I am more successful than I was five years ago. I have nicer things, but that does not necessarily make a nicer life.
I am somewhat religious, but never felt it was my place to beat someone over the head with it, nor judge someone based on their beliefs, or lack thereof. It's all good...
Fortunately for me, other than exhaust systems and tires (the former I'm too lazy to do these days, the latter has me lacking a tire-changing machine), I do all my own work.
The daily drivers these days are all newer, so less of an issue, but I've had a number of older cars that still have my blood on them somewhere...
RE: What are you drinking right now?
Good morning. You don't want this stuff, for the reasons cited above!
