Certainly cause for concern, but I try very hard not to worry about things I have no control over. Rather, I run with the "everything for a reason..." philosophy.
For example, I was laid off from a company that was purchased by another, and temporarily out of work. I found another job, one that pays MUCH better and less dead-ended. That was <gasp> almost 22 years ago.
Far from being a fan, I will admit that his intentions, at least intially, seemed decent. It was also clear that the nepotism that pervades our administration does not sit well with a world stage. Just my .02.
I had to ponder this a bit. Of course, that willingness is purely predicated upon the situation. I would say I am not in a hurry to commit, but at the same time, I have the capacity to do so should (some very happy) circumstances dictate it. It's a nice thought anyway...
I agree with Don. Here's another: "Chomping on the bit," which I believe was originally "champing at the bit." I find myself refraining from using old saws, lest I be viewed as an old hack (I work in an office where some of my co-workers can be almost half my age).
I was at the office, back in Michigan. I can remember how stunned we all were.
I rode the motorcycle to work that day. Most of us left early, and the ride home was daunting - clearly nobody on the road seemed to be paying attention to the task at hand. It was understandable.
I remember turning on CNN, and keeping it on for the remainder of the day, watching in silence.
Product Specialist (Resident Car Geek) for an advertising agency. We're in the midst of brochures - I just have to make sure every word and number is correct and legal. This fosters the gray hair...
I agreee, just never really got used to doing it solo. I know people that do, but I seem to have a problem with it. Or perhaps the memories of it. "We" used to go 3-4 times a month. In the end, it's all good.
RE: how u doing? Im eric
