It's an elegant word you don't hear much in the states. You are more likely to hear "while," as in "while ah wuz tryin' to fix my goddurn broke pick'em up truck..."
I like "ladyfriend," although that's what I call one of my best friends back in Detroit. "My lady" sounds nice as well. And hey, Don's engaged so there's some real merit there.
We (the we is indicative of how long ago I took a vacation - maybe a 1 1/2 years) drove up to San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay along the Central Coast of Cali. Only a few hour drive, and beautiful. Reminded me of Northern Michigan.
I believe it is possible to identify a kindred spirit of sorts, and maybe even a precursor to chemisty. I am big on the written or spoken word - there's a lot to tell about a person by the way they articulate themselves. Of course, exactly what they are saying is important as well.
I agree with some of the others though, it has to be taken to another level at some point.
Here's a perfect example of the scam stuff. Blonde, 26, model-esque, and likely someone that in real life would have nothing to do with me:

These are a daily occurence. They never want to correspond through the site. I ignore them, of course. All right, sometimes the pics are fun to look at.
