Sometimes, an owner has a hard time letting go of an animal companion. They forget that the situation must be handled with a loving heart & not out of sadness for their loss. It is normal for people to feel great amounts of attachment to their little friends but the time comes when acting on behalf of the animal is going to be better than trying to milk time out of a terminal situation. Please encourage her to be strong, to think of the suffering of the cat. It will have to endure many medical & physical discomforts if she tries to extend kitty's life. In the end, it should be about quality of life, not quantity of life. Letting the animal be at peace while it still suffers little discomfort should be a strong thought in her mind.
Strength to her so she can make the best decision, peace in her heart so she can move on knowing the right choices were made & a strong memory to enjoy the best of times.
Lingering pain & hatred can be more distructive than the original injury. I forgive & move on. There was something in that person I loved to begin with, despite the ending. With that in mind, I wish them well & forgive. I can then move on & they can face their Karma without my involvement.
Besides... I don't need to be anywhere near them when the lightening bolts start to fly. *grin...
