I understand where you're coming from, but the way I see it is that I could spend hours going through writing to lots of people, all for nothing. If I wink first, then they can wink if they're interested, then I'll take the time to write properly. So I don't see it as a lazy click, but more a logical way to see who's interested. Sometimes I do send proper messages to people, but then I barely ever get a reply, not even a 'no thanks', so then I wonder why I bother.
My other point is that if I just got a wink, I'd be very flattered, rather than feeling hard done by because someone couldn't be bothered to write to me.
Well what most people don't realise is that.....Oh before I continue - Look, the icons for smilies are back!!!! I guess the note I sent them was acted upon! Don't all rush to thank me. (Thanks CS UK!).
Anyway, where was I? Oh yea, Santa. Well what people don't realise is that when you leave food and drink out for Santa, he rarely eats/drinks it. Obviously with all those kids leaving stuff, he wouldn't be able to take it all in, plus he doesn't have the time. So usually, the Parents of children eat/drink it instead. That doesn't mean that Santa isn't grateful though, not at all, so it's still nice to leave it out.
Hmmm....This is where people will start wondering if I'm just being a stupid idiot, or I'm a bit simple, or if I'm fairly brainy with a strange sense of humour that you can't quite work out! Make your own minds up.
I don't like Chinese chips either. I can't remember what they taste like but I remember I used to go to one now and then where I used to live, and they weren't the same as 'normal' chips. I know the sort of chippies you mean, and there are many around where I live and used to live. I can think of 2 very locally to me, plus 2 other sea-front ones that I guess you can't really class as the same, because all sea-fronts have them. They are still all proper chippies though. Whether they do mushy peas or not, I wouldn't know. Not all the older chippies did anyway. I think that might be more of a London tradition than a British thing? As I don't like them though it could be that I simply never notice them.
I used to go to a chip shop (not a proper British chippie) in Cambridge where my ex lived, and they sold all sorts of things, including fried potatoes. Wow, they were amazing! You'd get a massive box too for just 2 to 3 quid. Yummy! Oh stop talking about food!!! LOL.
Same here. I don't even mind if a women doesn't reply to a wink. My objection, and my point at the start of this thread, was how some women will automatically ignore you simply because you've winked, and they are so full of themselves that they even tell you they'll do that in their profile. That makes no sense to me. So in other words they want you to make an effort to write to them properly, even though there's not much chance they'll be interested anyway. I bet it's those same women who don't reply to say "no thanks" even when someone does write a proper message to them.
They aren't extint where I live now or where I used to live, 70 miles away. So it's odd that so many people are saying they don't see chippies anymore. I can't say I've seen mushy peas though, but then I've never liked peas so that doesn't bother me.
On another subject - I wonder if admin know that we can't see the smilies? Has anyone let them know?
You're totally missing my point. I DO have several photos of myself on all dating sites I belong to. Yes I'm aware they may not like my looks - I expect that. That's nothing to do with this though. You say that you know what I'm saying but I don't think you have a clue mate.
I know that's what they say, and that's exactly what I'm complaining about. For them to assume you have nothing to say is crazy. Why should I spend hours writing loads of messages when barely and of them can be bothered to write back to me?
Of course. Remember though that I'm an expert in 'how' to lose weight, just as all big people are, so I don't need advice on what to eat or how to lose it. I just need will-power. That is the main thing that anyone who wants to lose weight needs.
True, there is a chance it wouldn't. I don't even know them that well yet anyway. I think that if I was to tell them I'd do it privately first and see what they said, rather than tell everyone in a public room. I don't think they'd appreciate me tell other people before them. :)
Hi Unicornelle, thanks for asking and no need to apologise. :) I'm not on a particular diet, I'm just trying to eat a lot less. I was already walking every day so won't do more of that. I don't believe in particular diets really where you eat particular things. I just believe in eating less and sensibly, or 'plans' such as WeightWatchers which is all about eating what you like, but not too much of it. So I'm over a week into it now and still doing well. :)
Sorry for the delay. I've got a stinking cold today so not sitting at the PC much. Anyway, errrmmm....Well as there aren't many people in these forums I don't really want to give more clues as whoever it is might work it out.
I didn't mean for this to get as serious as it seems to be getting. I feel a bit stupid now. This is actually typical of me because now, even if I was to tell the person, they'd then see this thread and see what a fuss I made about it and that would put them off! It's not as if I like them more than anyone else ever, I didn't mean it so seriously. I just like them, but I never find it easy to tell someone that. I'm too used to being rejected because it happens nearly every time with me, so I don't like to invite it to happen again by telling someone what I think.
Doesn't anyone else like anyone? Is it just me? It wasn't supposed to just be about me.

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
