The best and definitive solution for the syrian refugees is to be able to return home. Wish be possible to create a war-free zone in syrian territories near the turkish borders, but there's a wasps' nest all around and beyond.
Usually is not easy to get political asylum, but in this case their helpless situation is obvious and also their condition of war refugees.
The neighbour countries can't hold so many thousands refugees, neither have the means to deport them to a neutral zone and supply them the basic needs.
But there are also a lot of immigrants from other countries at conflict and others simply poor.
What I've read is that many germans demonstrators shouted Merkel that the germans are first. Not easy to have neighbours who even can't understand german.
