I don't think we can compare rates here in the south to the north or any other country. Everything here is a lot more expensive. Rents, heating, cost of running a car,clothes, entertainment. in fact just about everything. That is why the rate of payments is higher.
Do people think that young adults who live at home should still be subsided by their parents.
It costs 7:50 to go to the cinema, thats without snack,drink,bus fare and sometimes a babysitter. A lip gloss for a girl, cheapest about 5 euro. Luxuries I don't think so. people have to have some quality of life and if they can't even afford a hair cut or a trip to the cinema well it is no wonder so many of them are committing suicide.
In most cases it is impossible for them to live elsewhere. Rent allowance is not just paid out to anyone who decides to leave home. You have to be homeless or have children, and even then it is not automatically paid out.
I don't believe anyone living on welfare is getting too much, most are living in poverty and are robbing peter to pay paul.

I just wonder why when things get tough we attack each other and the most vulnerable.
A lot of people made their money and benefited over last few years. The Celtic tiger was good to some but not everyone. Some made their money on the backs of others. Why are we not demanding that the rich who can afford it take a pay cut. you stop 20 euro a week on someone on welfare and you can be sure they feel it. Do you think our top civil servants, ministers, judges, doctors,barristers etc would feel the cut as much.

Seriously, I love looking but prefer men my age.
I find it harder to meet someone my age than younger. A lot of men my age want to be with younger women so that leaves me looking at guys same age as my Dad
