Hi Newlife, yes the BBQ chook is tasty. I have a good recipe for a honey soy sauce to pour over a cooked chook, good to use up left overs.

Chinese food and Thai. I didn't like vegetables until I had crunchy fresh vegies cooked the asian way. My dear mum cooked the life out of vegies which is how she learnt to cook them with our English/Irish background. Her roasts and braised steak or lamb was fantastic.

I am sorry you feel unhappy and alone etc. My brother-in-law who is a musician went through a similar thing,he stopped playing with the group he was in, sold his guitars and amps and stopped even listening to cds and radio. He has been diagnosed with depression and gets treated for it ie counselling and medication. Perhaps you need to see your doctor.

I think it is a waste of tax payers money, why should we fund this, if the public want counselling it is up to them to pay for it. He will try to pass a law soon that we must have counselling.

you know I was about to limp off again myself as I was nearly caught by a scammer. He was smart in that he didn't ask for my email until quite some time into our conversations. He could also string some words together to form a sentence and spell. It wasn't until I asked if he had more photos that he said he would only send them to my email, when I refused to give email, he said goodbye. So feeling very silly, I was about to go hide. But STUFF THEM I say, I'm staying to read the threads etc.

Hey don't go, you contribute so much. Do you have anything else that you must do besides talking with your friends on here? I see it as a good way to make friends when other options may not work for you eg, clubs/pubs etc. Hang in there, you would be missed if you go I' sure.

Pavlova, crusty egg white base filled with whipped cream topped with fresh assorted berries and passionfruit drizzled over the top, YUM

I don't think I have ever met a sweet dish that I haven't liked.

Then there is all the old english deserts eg Sticky Date Pudding,
Bread & Butter Pudding, Apple Crumble. We often had fresh fruit salad with icecream at home.

Back from Singapore

came back early from holiday as sister got a virus within first few days over there, now has bronchitis. I got the bug and now have bronchitis as well. We had a good time while we could and Singapore is a lovely clean place with lots of greenery which grows very well in humid conditions. Orchids in the Botanic Gardens were beautiful. Stayed at the Ramada which was only finished in may this year, very nice.
Did a few tours around Singapore b4 got sick. Gonna stay in bed for a few days to recover.Got some antibiotics and some cheap booze from duty free shop to fix us up.

My youngest sister lives with me now that her husband left her. I am the eldest of 5 and the siblings between me and youngest sister have intellectual disabilities. We are having them over to our house for a BBQ, gonna roast some chickens and pork and vegies on the barbie. We will eat outside under our lovely old elm tree in the dappled shade.

I would like to have a pear shape body with a nice flat tummy, instead I inherited the apple shape. That's the problem, you get what you inherit but of course you can be fit & healthy and watch your weight.
