We have no chain food restaurants in Belize...........but there are a few popular local Chinese and Lebanese that do great take outs. My favorite is the Lebanese cuisine.

I love Chinese food and Thai. I didn't like vegetables until I had crunchy fresh vegies cooked the asian way. My dear mum cooked the life out of vegies which is how she learnt to cook them with our English/Irish background. Her roasts and braised steak or lamb was fantastic.

Not very often I have takeaway, simply because I am usually disappointed.
My favourite takeaway food if I don't feel like cooking is a bbq(roast) chicken, and home made salad. Yummo
here we have toooo many fast food take outs i only get pizza or go to the chinese place and get shrimp and broccoli w/rice and a egg roll for $8.00 usd and is enough for 2 eatings If i get anything fast i want a beer at a pub...
Don't do takeaway food but I did buy takeaways of home-made meals when I lived in Portugal. Big difference though as the food was was made on the premises and like you would make at home.

I agree entirely!!!! My mum used to do the same thing ... I think just about everybody's mum did in our cultural background. There were certain veg I wouldn't touch because of the experience (school meals in the UK, had a reinforcing effect ... even the smell put me off the food. Then I tried Chinese and actually enjoyed those veg I couldn't previously stomach. When I cook veg I either have them lightly steamed or stir fried. I like Thai, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian and Mexican best of all.
If I do take out... which is not very often... I would do pizza hut... veggie pizza.... I had Taco Bell one night a friend brought a soft taco to me.. and it had been over 3 years since I touched Taco Bell....
