RE: Do you think a photo should be required to register on this site?

I prefer to see a photo and I normally don't look at profiles without one. I have this noted on my profile.

RE: RETIRING AT 70

yes I agree with you, my grandma was in a nursing home with advanced dementia and they operated on her to remove a skin cancer on the end of her nose, made a mess of her nose, why bother, she was in her 90's.

RE: RETIRING AT 70

REPLY TO MY EMAIL FROM MP NICK FOLLOWS:

Thank you for your email to Nick Xenophon. Nick is currently out of the office and has asked me to respond on his behalf.

Thank you for your feedback on the Productivity Commission’s proposal to lift the pension age to 70. I have passed your comments on to Nick and his senior advisors for their reference and consideration and Nick will keep your thoughts in mind when deciding how to vote on any future legislation.

I understand the Government has dismissed this idea, with a spokeswoman for Treasurer Joe Hockey stating the Government is not considering the proposals.

Thank you again for writing to Nick.

Kind regards

RE: What Makes the Woman...Tick ?

Ah, you have hit the nail on the head. It is just nature. I also think that women over analyse things/situations and men just take things at face value. We women need to keep it simple, say EXACTLY what you want AND DON'T FORGET TO SAY THANKYOU. Oh and guys women love to be wined and dined and a long slow dance is all part of the foreplay. Off for a cold shower. kiss

RE: RETIRING AT 70

good onya Serene, you go girl.head banger

RE: RETIRING AT 70

Well said, totally agree.

RE: RETIRING AT 70

Fruit scones or plain? I sent an email off to Nick Xenephon MP this morning expressing my disgust at the proposed increased retirement age, lets see if he responds.

RE: RETIRING AT 70

We need to do something about this, everyone should contact their MP & let them know how we feel. The a--holes won't reduce their entitlements, ie super, travel etc. They are just public servants and they are not serving the public but feathering their own nest. The people that do physically demanding work would be unlikely to be fit enough to continue to do this up to 70 and people who do mentally demanding work are unlikely to be fit enough mentally, decline in ability to retain info or learn new things and keeping up with technology either. You also have the problem with the availability of jobs not only for the older workers but our youth. Get rid of some of our politians/level of government, that would save some money.

RE: Perving Profiles

yes, I have a look if they have viewed me or if they post something interesting sometimes. I was having trouble finding some articles in forums but found that if there was the authors details, I could then locate the thread I was interested in. Silly me then found the way to look at other threads that were no longer showing on my home page.

RE: Celibate

pedal, you could take up breast stroke!beer

RE: Celibate

Yes this reminds me of a joke---- A woman is complaining to her friend that her husband had brought her a huge bunch of flowers home and that it would result in her flat on her back with her legs in the air for hours.....her friend said why, haven't you got a vase?sad flower

RE: Celibate

Thankyou President for answering so quickly. I will keep a look out for any pointers and let you know soon as I see one, this is providing I recognise one after all this time. I don't know that I would be ready to take advantage of said pointers as I now have a dried arrangement down below.

Yours in anticipation

RE: Celibate

Can you collect points the longer you are celibate. I know there will be a few guys on here with pointers at the ready!

RE: The Gynaecologist!

LOVED this joke, got a good laugh, thanks

RE: February Wedding coming for me and LadyBee42

Congratulations, lovely story, all the very best for your future together.

RE: What's your favorite alcoholic drink?

Scotch & coke when I drank before becoming diabetic. I occassionally have a sweet white wine, love sweet stuff. Had pina coladas on cruise ship last year, yum, probably die happy with a bucket full of this.

RE: Older women

Hi Chris, I will put that letter in the mail today.laugh

RE: Older women

thanks for the hug & support, he offends me with just about everything he says. I will take your advice & ignore.handshake

RE: Aussie Elections

It is a bit silly to insist on a day off on our "Sacred Day" when a lot of people are not christians/don't believe in God.

I wouldn't like to face a reduction in pay but we are out-pricing ourselves and can get our products and work done from overseas.

I wouldn't be willing to agree to any changes to our working conditions and entitlements until the politians agree to work under the same rules and have the same entitlements as the rest of us. Why should they have all the perks the greedy B's. Doesn't matter who is in office, they are in it for the money.

RE: Famous

I thought they were poisonous regardless, I have seen a doco on tv where the redbacks bite has killed a snake.

Famous things in Australia, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Ularu, Great Barrier Reef, beautiful beaches and scenery and our way of life/freedom.
