What's A Player???

I couldn't agree more with you D & Poppy, safety at all costs.
Personally I don't like the word 'date' just sounds so bloody corny to me lol. I have only ever met up with 2 guys and on both occasions we agreed to met as friends, at least going into it with that outlook, if there is no chemistry you can still walk away with the friendship.
I am quite a private person and very careful with what I will advertise on the forums. I may speak of a situation I have been in, but not in too much detail because I do believe that what goes on or is said in private should remain exactly that, private.
I love the forums on here. The site I help run, I have to behave in a certain manor so its bliss being able to come on here, relax and be a regular member, knowing I'm allowed to give as good as I get the banter that goes on here has me in tears of laughter.

Ps, D, I haven't heard from Brian since the last time he was on the site. Hope he's ok though

Deb, I actually ended contact on christmas day with a guy I had become very close to, He told me he had finally told his wife that he was moving on and was no longer available to be at her beck and call anymore. I was so gutted, He told me they were seperated, but I had no idea she still relied on him. It didn't feel right at all and I also felt he hadn't been fully truthful with me so I ended it.

In reply to your question. It wouldn't be for me if a perspective partner lived with his ex.

Thanks ladies, I knew I could get a sensible reply from the females here I centainly don't I'm a player, I couldn't keep up with having one on the go, let alone more and knowing me, I'd stitch myself up by calling them by their wrong names

Can someone explain to me what a player is meant to mean on the dating scene?
I always thought a player is someone who plays silly games, has a few contacts on the go at the same time and feeding them all the same sort of lines. Am I wrong in thinking this?

A guy sent me a message today which I politely replied to, a few messages went back and forth, which were only polite conversation. He asked for my direct e-mail details which I told him, I didn't share with people I didn't know and he said, I was just a player

I agree with Scarlet that there are some things that don't need to be shared. I wouldn't happy about baring it all until I was 100% sure about the person. It comes back to what is the beginning?? the start of contact?

Yes, I think long distance relationships work, they have been sucessful for decades lol, but the people involved have to want it to work. I suppose eventually one relocates to be with the other.
