Neither option one or two. As a single Mommy who supports my child all by myself, I would like to meet someone with no preconceived notions of "duty." I certainly don't need someone to "pay my way" but would like someone to hold my hand and watch a good movie with me. I think both should work, and both should be there for each other in any other aspect needed.
I am a Chat Master at an online Bingo site. Been there for about 7 years now, totally LOVE my job. I work full-time but work from home so I don't need to hire a babysitter. I can sit on her myself for free!!
How old is your daughter? I think we dont give kids enough credit for intelligence. Of course she will know who her Dad is. Takes more to make a Daddy then being with Mommy. Maybe if you let go of some of the anger, let you ex move on and find her own happiness, you will be closer to finding happiness yourself. If Mommy is too tired (or whatever excuse) to bring your daughter to you, why don't you go pick her up? Maybe Mommy needs some rest. I think if you are the best Dad you can be, you daughter will understand that and hold you dear to her heart. My daughter has no memories of her Father. This was not my choice. Wow, wish you guys could have had a Mom like mine. She has always been, and still is my best friend. I talk to her daily, she never tells me what I should be doing, only supports any decisions that I make. I just hope my daughter grows up to find me as much of a friend as my Mom is to me!!
