What makes them that way? Why do they pick on your hair? Is there a cure, lol? Just got back from my mother's house. Won't you do something with your hair? I have thin hair. I told her it was her fault. She says it wasn't it was your father's fault you have thin hair. Then she gave ten dollars to go get a hair cut.

Ok that one confused me....I'll admit it....I thought everyone was born with a mother....or from one...

I don't know what makes a mother that was. The scary thing is I have two children myself and I tend to find myself saying some of the same things to them that my mom said to me.

I go there to this day and I get when are you gonna get married. All your sisters are married, even your brother. Why don't you go out more and stop trying to find love on the internet. You know that's not possible......omg I can hear her saying this to me....over and over and over again.....I think to them you're still their baby or whatever. You never stop worrying, caring, or putting your two cents in when need be, it's all part of being a parent.....whether mother or father.

So...Who was that guy you were talking with???? Then the Gestapo questions....What does he do....etc etc....Mom we were only talking not getting married!!!!!!!

I have to remind my mother on a weekly basis I'm 38 not 5!!!!!!!

BUT she is like my best friend...there is exactly 20 years difference between us and she always means well...I GUESS!!!!

My mom is getting to be my best friend. I gave her a hug before I left. My younger sister is a bigger pain to her than I am so that is one consolation, lol. There are nine of us.

I can identify with that. Unfortunately, when the kids were growing up my ex's mother was different than mine. We were constantly throwing each other's mother up. My complaint was her mother was interfering and her complaint was that mine never came by. It was extreme points of view. Opposites might attract but that doesn't mean they will always get along.

Oh, I hear that, lol. They say you can really never go home. It seems different after you leave the nest and strike out on your own.

The title of this thread was an eyebrow raising moment for me.. got in figured it out quickly.. My mom passed away 12 years ago, so now I have a 15 year old daughter who thinks shes my mom..

"Are you really gonna wear that?"

"You need to put on some make up!"

"What time are you coming home??"

wth?? LOL.. when people ask her where shes from her standard answer is..."My Mom"

My mother....oh..geeeeee...I love my mom, dont get me wrong...but I followed the same mistake my sister and brother made...I bought a house right next door...my sister is across the street and my brother at the end...3 houses down... now my mom says...You need to mow your grass, keep your gate closed, you need to cut that tree out front, Im coming over there and show you how to trim that Pine tree.....and all I want to say is ...MOM...>GO HOME!!!

Not to mention when someone comes to visit..by the time they get out of the car my mom is calling me..."Do you know someone in a red truck?" They are outside...its a man....hes coming up to your door right now.... argghhhhh...."MOM I ORDERED PIZZA"

When...when does it get better I ask ya?????dunno

My mom is my landlord. I got the flat top haircut and now I look like a dork, lol. But mom is happy. That is all that counts, lol. I told her that it will just grow back, lol. She never listens, lol. She had some good spaghetti made up and some toast. She uses bay leaves, mushrooms, home made sauce and hamburger meat. I would tell her that she is a good cook but I am afraid it would go to her head, lol. Besides I didn't leave much in the iron skillet, lol. I also drinked the last of the Lipton iced tea, lol.

I love my mother to death, but she drives me nuts sometimes. Every guy is a potential son in law to her. She gives me phone numbers and let's me know that she told so and so I would give him a call. I know I'm still her baby girl, but it drives me crazy! My mom lives a half an hour away from me and we talk everyday. I go to her house to do my laundry and to raid her fridge. (typical kid stuff) I just wish she would back off just a little sometimes, dad is just as bad though. He decided that no guy could be my "boyfriend" unless he has approved of them first, and even then they are on probation. I'm 30 not 13. If I have to hear one more time "I just want you to find a nice man that will take care of you!" I'm going to scream. frustrated frustrated frustrated
