I totally agree with everything everyone's said.When you fishing the same spot and getting no bites - shift to where there's some nibbles. Forget the other guy - go for the one who shows intrest.

I have been thrown from a horse that bolted when a kid was on a gravel road and I lost loads of skin. I've also come off push bike plenty of times.

Never ridden a Motorbike except as a passenger - to work everyday for 5 months. As a passenger the on motorbike - that was scary.

I'd do any again though. I think if I had to say which scarier? Prob Motorbike only because cars don't see you and an accident at 60kms on one would bang you up pretty bad but on a horse you more likely to live or break your arm at worse where as on a bike you got a good chance of ending up in intensive care.

Ok so you haven't actually studied any of Scientology and what you know is simply some stuff in the media? So you have no beef with anything that is really Scientology?

I know hundreds of Scientologists, many people come and go some come study something to improve thier lives - get what they need and you never see them again, some come and are arround for a few years then go for 5 or 10 and then come back. I have never, not once, seen or met anyone who has been forced to continue - the idea is kinda weird - how would that work? People mostly come to study some aspect in a course room with many other people there - would you force them to sit and study? Sorry, the subject often takes quite a bit of cocentration there are often exams to pass or questions to answer. How could you force someone to answer those correctly when that requires willingness to learn? the idea of that occuring is so foriegn to Scientologists - it's just funny.

If you leave a course mid-way people ask you why and try to find out what, of a number of things, may be wrong - did you misunderstand somehing in the course? Is some situation in your life making getting to study difficult? they only do that because they care that you get the best possible service. But people can leave anytime and are always welcomed back when they come.

I know too many who have left for short or long periods and I myself stopped doing much for a spell and the only thing that occured was phone calls inviting me to come to special events a few times a year. *shrug*

Whatever media is spreading that has been dupped or is not being truthfull. You want to know what it's really about? Go to the sites I mentioned to Dragon. If you don't, that's ok but don't think you getting the real deal out of the press on the matter.

Time mag addmitted to being paid to bag Scientology, ex executive of Elly Lilly(makers of prozac) has sworn affidavit that one of their three key statigies to reduce cost of people sueing for, damages caused by their drugs, is to run a black PR campaign on Scientology. As we're the peope who keep pointing out their drug's are dangerous. So if you convince the jury pool that Scientologists are nutters = their message is nutty = no or low payouts. They're currently facing law suts in the billions - just lost one for over a billion to the individual states of america and to Canada The individual and smaller class suite could reach the many more billions. So if in that situation the temptation to smear Scientlogy's name is HUGE when even if only partly succesfull would save them 100's of millions -why wouldn't you?

Have a real look man. The news is owned it's no more impartial than the adds on tv, it's used to shape public opinion by those that need public opinion shaped. You need a war, get stories run on how evil the target of your war is. You runnig for election get stories run on how bad your opponent is. You make weapons, get peope demanding a bigger army. etc etc. You have the advertising budget you have the pull you can get the news to tell any story you want. the net is even easier. open the site yourself put anything up and get it pushed high on the google list. Simple. You want to know the real story - you have to go and look yourself.

This is probably getting boreing for others on the threads - so I'm happy to continue to discuss but drop me a line on it. I have no enimity toward you. You welcome to beleive what you want - I have donated money to help protect your right to do so. I would have it no other way.

I like weird names so you probably not keen on my suggestions. My daughters are Zanya (long "a" like car Zarnya) and Yasha I like keana (key-arna) also names like Shayne and terri for a girl too. By son would've been Daria if a girl, Mala (means little girl in croatian)

Easy stick 'em on Trade me for a dollar - you'll be surprised - I love them as they cheap and keep going and going and don't suffer burn-in when the xbox is left on at the same thing for hours like the LCD's etc do. Also you can warm your feet on them.

Ha ha yeah - I have no idea where they make this stuff up from. I mean you can tell obviously poor poor Suri must be maltreated look at those drawn cheeks and sallow skin. Man that's the worse thing from the media, picking on a little girl

there's one I can lay to rest - I eat meat - love it in fact the only things I don't eat are - beetroot and canned fish - most else YUM! oh and I a whimp when it comes to hot(spicy food) and none of that is due to my religion. Some of my fellow Sientologists are vegetarians and some not - same mix roughly as non-Scientologists - there's no "must not eat this or that" in Scientology - I wish there was one about beetroot but, alas.

Hey DD, Is cool I'm not about "converting" people - if someone interested that's cool and if not that's cool too. I also help a lot of people with the knowledge and techniques I've learned and I get heaps from that but i don't expect them to become Scientologists - I do it just becuase I love helping others.

The fiction books are still very much around. I know and have read the series you're talking about .The individual books are called:

the invaders plan, black genesis, the enemy within, an alien affair, fortune of fear, death quest, voyage of vengence, disaster, villainy vicorious, and the doomed planet not a bad series. My favorite of his was 'battlefield earth' - didn't think John Travolta did a good job of the movie but the book was a fun read. Also 'fear' which has been called the first of the pschological thriller genre.

I can ask around - what library? Also try 2nd hand book shops you can often get them there. Luck with finding them.

Hi Dragon, I'm a Scientologist - have been for nearly 20 years. I can answer your questions on it if you like.

You said your library doesn't have books on it? They should do as recently most of the librays on the planet were sent sets. Ask your libray to have search - "A new slant on life" and "fundamentals of thought" are good beginer titles on it.

As for the question you posted...In Scientology there is an understanding of a supreme being but is up to each individual to come to an understanding on it themselves. ie there is no "God is... and you must believe that." type teaching. You believe what is true for you. So there can be, and are people in Scientology who are Christian, Jewish, Muslim or have thier own take on what or who God is.

Me personally? I have a good gut feeling that someone created this universe - possibly it was a group effort. But as to the specifics of who the supreme being is...I haven't decided yet and quite happy to keep the question open until the jury comes in. For all I kow it could be you.

As to the others who had a laugh at Scientology earlier - While that's your right to free speach and freedom of belief. It's a little hurtful - what you know of Scientology I would guess doesn't come from a sdudy of the subjest directly but rather from 2nd or 3rd hand information (not always the most reliable - and nothing I've ever seen in the media has evrey bared an even passing resembalance to fact on the subject). Check out the sites I listed and decide for yourself rather than have your opinions written for you by some media hack who's job it is to smear the target he's pointed at.

I'm not angry with you or your coments, midly sadened, but then partly it's my own responsibilty as I and other Scientologists haven't done a good enough job of informing the rest of you what the real sceene is.

As I've said I'm more than happy to answer questions on it.
