I personally have 3 but don't think they are for everyone. 1st make sure you really want it forever. 2nd pick a tat that means something to you 3rd research your tattoo artist...some slap ink on you that looks great today but in a year is already looking terribly faded. Take it from someone who has sat through a reshading...not nearly as fun or exciting as sitting for an original!
Your 30:06 is only well behaved because it only has a 5 shot clip...you have obviously not been listening to all of the "experts on gun safety and gun rights"...it's only those evil guns with larger than a 7 shot magazine that go around unbeknownst to their owners committing mass homicides!
That went soooo well to didn't it? What did prohabition get us? Oh yeah...really swell blokes like Al Capone rose to power supplying illegal booze to the speak easies in the Chicago area.
At least one good thing came from it, my great grandfather had to get out of Chicago fast because he was running a bit of a competing business with Mr Capone out of the back of his butcher shop. I'm glad I don't live in that hell hole of a city!
If we ban smocking who will stock the shelves at the grocers? Who will help me pick out flowers for a first date? I tell you we need these wearers of smocks and all the valuable services they provide. I say NO to a ban on smocking!
In my local neighborhood watering hole one of the bartenders banned a guy because he asked her out every time he came in. I never saw him push it any farther than that or ever casuse any sort of trouble with any of the other bartenders or customers. She said that it finally got to the point where she got so pissed off everytime she saw him that it started affecting her work...I suppose I can see her point.
I thought that this would make for an interesting topic of discussion basically because I was NOT interested in only hearing from people who upheld my own "self righteous behaviour".
There are two sides to every story and perhaps even though my offer to help a stranger who appeared could use a lending hand was well intended, it is completely possible that her "creep-meter" went off.
I appreciate the replies to this thread both pro & con, however next time I see someone who looks like they could use a hand, maor or woman, young or old, I'm going to offer to help if I can.
Who know's maybe one day I'll get so see what it feels like to be pepper sprayed! LOL
It's a crazy world indeed. I don't know, in some ways I feel sorry for her. Was it mistrust of a stranger, an overbearing boyfriend or husband in her life? Maybe she was just an awful person or a good person having a really awful day. I'll never know.
What I do know is that I agree with you. It is a crazy world when I have to even ask such a question.
I said "Hi. You look like you've got your handsfull there. I don't have much to carry. I'd be glad to help with your cart so you can keep your daughter dry from the rain."
Now there's a thought! I have asked ladies for help in finding something in the supermarket before. Apperently you can tell a guy is single by looking at what is in his grocery cart...something I was not aware of until I was divorced.
Well it is what it is and I think I'm gonna just go on being me. If someone doesn't like or get what I do or say the problem is with them. For all of you nice people who responded that I did not have time to post a personal reply to your words of encouragement were appreciated
Jono, it doesn't happen on an everyday basis but it seems to be more frequent lately. As for what one is taught, I agree, hang on to what you truly beleive in and shed the rest...no one is perfect and that includes my parents.
Ok, I don't get it. I just got home from picking up some groceries at the market. It had started to rain and the young lady in the next aisle had her hands full. A full cart, a not so happy uncooperative toddler, and that shopping cart with the front left wheel that likes to turn sideways and make you crash into the endcap if you try to push it with one hand.
As we were both walking out at the same time and I only had a couple of small bags I offered to help her to her car with her groceries. Now I was brought up to believe that this was the gentlemanly thing to do but instead of a polite thank you I was called a chauvinist a**hole.
Am I wrong...should I abandon what I was taught to believe?
