Launch Skype From the "Tools" menu, select "Options" to open the Skype preferences, and then click on "Video Settings" to modify specific settings for your webcam. Click on the drop-down bar beside "CyberLink YouCam" and select "HP Webcam 101" if you're using an HP computer, or a similarly titled name on a laptop from another manufacturer. Your webcam will still function, but without using the YouCam software. Click "Okay" and try launching a video call again.
The following example demonstrates how to enable CyberLink YouCam within Skype.
In the Skype main window, select Skype > Privacy > General > Video Settings In this page, select CyberLink Webcam Splitter from the select webcam drop-down menu. Click the Save button to save your changes and enable CyberLink YouCam.
