Ladies, if a guy were to approach you at a grocery store/gym/restaurant how would he show interest without coming on too strong?

MY ADVICE-
You seem to be experiencing transference. This is where you now perceive/believe all men will resort to acting as your father did and you push them away. My advice would be to seek the counsel of good friends or possibly speak with a professional about resolving these issues.
First and foremost, is to understand that how your father treated you was not acceptable. It's not ok that he harmed you, regardless of the circumstances.
Second, when out with a guy, take it slow. Don't rush into any relationship.

I like them all, as long as they are intelligible. The only time I'd be turned off is if they had a high, nasally voice...like that Fran Dresser (however it is spelled)
