Ugh! 10 hours to work day...Where did the weekend go?

;-) Outdoorman! Sweet dreams!

Ugh! 10 hours to work day...Where did the weekend go?

Nite, all! It's that glass slipper, pumpkin thing.

Ugh! 10 hours to work day...Where did the weekend go?

I say we Mere Mortals rise up against the Gods and refuse to show up on Mondays! Here, Here! Let's hear a "Hell Yeah" for the 4 day work week! Down with Mondays!

Ugh! 10 hours to work day...Where did the weekend go?

Why do the hours between 5 PM on Friday and 8 AM on Monday fly by faster than all other hours in the week? Is it a law somewhere?

RE: Reading Habits and Modern Life

LOL! Plarkin, you come up with some good ones! I read every day. I don't usually keep multiple books going because I get the characters mixed up. My favorite authors are: Jonathan Kellerman, Faye Kellerman, John Sanford, James Lee Burke and, of course, Ernest Heminway. Usually take my book from the beside table to the toilet (can't believe I said that) when nature calls.

So, are you doing research, or just curious?

RE: youve been single too long when....

you pay $60 for a massage just to have someone touch you.

RE: Getting tired of no responses!

I have probably been guilty of not responding to some of my messages. Not from you, but from some others here. Thank you for pointing out how rude that is. At least I could tell them "Thank you for writing". I will try to be more considerate from now on.

RE: What have you learned about dating from being on this site?

I haven't learned much about dating from this site, but I have learned there are a lot of fun people all over the world who play here,

RE: Hello everyone!

Glad you are here, Joe. I have only been participating in the forums for a short while. Everyone is very nice (well...most everyone) and they are always upfront and honest when you ask a question. (At least I think they are..I haven't met any of them in person.) This is a good site to get things off your chest and to get a chance to meet all kinds of people from all over the world.

Nice you meet you, sugah! (Sorry, it's a Southern thing!)

RE: Clinical Depression

Joe, depression can be consuming. It is the reason my ex and I divorced. He denied his depression until it filled him with such anxiety that he thought he was having a heart attack. That is why he moved out. He never talked to me about it, even though I suggested several times that I thought he was suffering from depression. He refused to take medication (and still refuses). He didn't even have the energy to file for divorce. He wouldn't go to family counseling. He stopped seeing his friends. He had no interest in anything. But, he was functional at work. That was a routine that he could accomplish with little effort. Dealing with a relationship and having to interact with feelings was impossible for him. I read a lot about depression while we were separated. There are way too many theories out there and not a lot of scientific data. If you truly think you are in a clinical depression, please seek help. I hope you have someone close who you can talk to and express some of your feelings. I know it is difficult to even know what your feelings are. Or, you may be void of feelings other than sadness. Sometimes, talking to a stranger seems safer than talking to someone with whom you have a relationship. If you ever need to talk things out, I am more than willing to listen. I won't tell you to snap out of it, because I know you would if you could. Everything I have read advises that you should be sure to eat healthy and try to get some exercise. Even if it is just walking around the block each day. Email me if you need an ear. I am a good listener.

RE: This is interesting..Please say something!!

My Mother made me wear strange looking clothes when I was a kid. I sure as heck wouldn't want her picking out my husband!

RE: here's a thought..is it.better to be lonely alone, or lonely with someone??

I realized after my divorce that I had been lonely a long time. Now that I am alone, it doesn't seem as bad. My vote is "If you have to be lonely, do it alone!"

RE: Challenge question..

I look for a sense of playfulness. Don't like anyone who takes himself too seriously. He must be able to let out a big belly laugh from time to time and....he should be willing to laugh at himself, too. (Enjoying a good roller coaster ride is a big plus!)

RE: Is anyone else having a bummed out day?

Thanks, will do.

RE: Is anyone else having a bummed out day?

The eye (if it is still a hurricane by then) will be very close to my area in about an hour. I am hoping the center will stay to the west of me. However, the news is saying that we will experience flash flooding and high wind gusts. Expecting major power outages. I am safe w/flashlight, plenty of batteries and a basement room in case of tornadic weather.

RE: Is anyone else having a bummed out day?

BBD, it is a bummer of a day, here, too. Just sitting and waiting to see what "Dennis" has in store for us here in the South. Raining and wind gusts, already. Hope your day gets brighter. (p.s. I enjoyed reading your profile. Great job!)

RE: favorite jimmy buffet songs pick one???

Love In The Library (from the Fruitcakes CD)

RE: Which senses do you seem to use the most?

I probably use my olfactory gland more than anything. Smell can bring childhood memories racing back into my head. The smell of a freshly bathed and powdered baby makes me smile. The smell of bread baking makes me hungry (and adds 5 pounds to each thigh). I vote for sense of smell!

RE: OK LADIES I need to know this because all my friends make fun of me for it.

You sound like my son. (He's 32) Cleanliness is a GOOD thing. But.....women don't want a man that takes more bathroom time than they do.

I need a date!

Unless it is a human sandwich. I'd be glad to be the filling.

I need a date!
