I spent over an hour and a half watching this video from start to finish, i found it very interesting, if you have some time on your hands i would recommend you watch it, if this kind of thing doesn't interest you then all the matter.

I was speaking with a musician friend of mine not so long ago, he assured me that there is very little money to be made anymore by selling cd's since the likes of yt came along, the only way to make money now is by doing gigs gigs and more gigs.

I think pubs in Ireland should have open mic nights like they have in the USA, a good way of getting your band known and gather a following, i think fred zeppelins in Cork do them but i don't know of any others.

As for the situation regarding your parents, my advice, is there one particular parent that you are closer to than the other?

If so, choose that one, if you can't tell them how your feeling then write them a letter/note, might sound silly bit good communication is the back bone of any lasting relationship, for all i know maybe they think everything is rosey with you and perhaps their just not the touchy feely type and can't show their feelings of pride and love for you but unless someone "communicates" with the other party then that's how it could stay.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I'm only too aware of how the world has changed and is now a much better place for women to live in, have you got any sisters or a daughter?

If you have, you tell me that you would like the idea of her been treated like a 2nd class citizen and basically having about the same rights as the family dog and i will get you some professional help newface,, can you honestly say that she is not much better off, sorry, the human race is not much better off with the status quo?

Now, too much of an extreme view is always a bad thing, if some women believe that they are above males then that's a different story altogether , there was a feminist on a tv show called Dragons Den and she got dealt with appropriately in my opinion.
