Aww so sad. One of the finest actors in Britain. Isn't it a bit eerie that two very famous people, top of their field, died the same week, of the same disease at the same age. Coincidence I'm sure, but eerie though.
He was brilliant as De Valera in Michael Collins Great funny scene in Love Actually with Rowan Atkinson "it'll be ready in the flashest of flashes!" Felt sorry for him (his character) in Sense and Sensibility Played the villain well in Die Hard And of course Sirius Snape!
