oh Defiantly! "Excuse me" never leaves the lexicon, it's just adapts a little. Reminds me scene from Crocodile Dundee, a perfect description of how a country folks "feel" in a big city.

If you wanna meet someone there is few ways to go about it. Fun, goofy, philosophical, political. Any kind of conversation has it's place and time. Personally, I notice my self being a goof most of the time. On a really rare occasion I'd write something serious (I think anything serious falls on deaf ears) People just wanna relax and have fun. You don't have to look with a magnifying glass and a pipe like our dear Sherlock.
