Welcome my dear, there is a link on the left side of your screen that shows how to spot them. And the Odd thing is, they are actually very easy to spot, they all have the same story every single time. Most of them come out of South Africa, South America, some Former Russian Block countries, and China. Indoneasia and so on, if you have Doubts contact the Admin here on CS and let them know whats going on, they can help you , or ask someone here they are very nice and will bend over backwards to help you . Sorry about the spelling , but I suck at it.
Ok, lets say they didn't taze her, but instead went hands on all the way, and lets say that during the hands on they broke her arm while attempting to put it behind her back? And lets say they all fell to the ground in a large heap with her on the bottom resulting in her striking her head and causing a concussion, or worse death ? Or !
They could have used their batons and beat her into submission which is exactly how they are trained, to strike until the subject stops resisting. Now you have a dead or Severely injured woman because the Police didn't have a tazer at their command. Trust me, in the situation I saw the Tazer was very necessary and appropriate force at the time. The Out come could have been much worse .
They also did not show the part where Mr King was attempting to attack the Officers, he was lunging at them and trying to fight, but that portion of the Video clip was Conveniently with held in order to sell more news papers and boost the News ratings. But , the cops acted in appropriately towards the end of the confrontation.
go to page one and copy and paste the link to the vidio clip, it will explain it better than I can. Being tazed is when electrodes with small hooks are attached to your body allowing a connection to be made so 50,000 volts of electricty can be shot through your body. This effectivly shuts down muscle control allowing a violent subject to be safely handled with little if no injury to himself or any one around him. I wish I had tazers when I was working a few times, we had to do everything by hand and use physical skills.
The Rodney King Incident gave all Police Officers a black eye, what they failed to show was the persuit which reached speeds in excess of 100 Mph. Where the Police went wrong was after they used the tazer on Mr. King and he was down, they continued to beat him. The excuses made by the Officers which normally would have been a good defense was ludicrous in my opinion. So Yes , they were wrong, and should have been punished. The only problem I have with the whole Issue was the awarding of a large sum of case to Mr King who was wrong in the first place for resisting arrest. Did he deserve to get some street Justice? maybe , but from what I saw, the cops in that incident were wrong to continue beating him after he was tazed and on the ground, they had enough Officers there to overwhelm him with enough bodies to place him into custody. Again thats my Opinion.
You have to understand, just because your small in stature , doesn't mean your a weakling. I once had an 80 Lb Female sitting in my front seat before we got cages, she slid down in my seat while belted in and kicks the front Windshield out of my patrol car and onto the hood. So She was charged with disabling an Emergency Vehicle, and Disabling an Emergency Vehicle while under arrest, one is a Felony crime, the other a Gross Misdemeanor.
So your right, it's better to not take chances with anyone just because they are small in stature.
Ok here's what I Gleaned from all this. The Initial contact was appropriate, she was ordered several time to exit the vehicle , which she only Complied with after the threat of being tazed was used. ( threat of the use of force is perfectly ok )
She was Argumentative with the Officers and would not follow their commands which were very clear and concise . I saw when they went hands on she refused to comply , and even held onto the frame work of the door of the vehicle. Based on my training and experience tazing her was the lesser of two evils, they chose to use a tazer rather than a baton which could have resulted in broken bones and prolonged damage to the Subject. In my opinion I would have to say this was a good use of the tazer and there should be no repercussions in court. She was clearly resisting and obstructing the officers in the performance of their duties.
If you have a link post it so I can take a look and form some sort of Opinion. Since my specialty is Use of Force Issues. But be warned you may not like my conclusions very much I will be honest and impartial as I can be with what they provide. It has been my Experience when dealing with issues such as this the media fails to show the complete incident, or the circumstances which lead up to incident. You have to remember what your shown on film or when dealing with issues such as these video clips ,often times means your not getting the whole story. Not saying that there arn't some bad cops out there who would do stuff like this. As a Cop we deal with Supream court decisions and the case law which would apply here is Ghram v Conner out of the supreme court decisions. So if you could post the link so I could see I would appreciate it.
You got my attention at Fishing, What kind of fishing ? And If I was Basque I would have jumped on the Goat wrangling comment, but Sheep isn't my forte

Sounds to me like he is concerned for your Happiness, and just wants to be reassured that everything will be alright. I would just ride it out and see what happens before any commitments are made, just to be on the safe side.
