I would have to agree with that advice PseudoSavant.
I don't think you can idividualize the country, politics and people, it all comes under the same umbrella outside of your borders.
To generalize, the US isn't held in high regard by your 'friends' in the UK, so imagine the feelings elsewhere in the world. They probably fall somewhere between indifference and pure hate.
It's a pity, as we should all be judged as individual people, but we are not.
Dawn50, working out just the five days, or all seven,LOL???
A 'real' guy shouldn't be as concerned about perfection and if he wants a barbie doll, then do you really want him?
We all change with age, I have, so how can I even ask for the 'Perfect' woman. (Whatever that is).
My legs are hard and strong, but that's from sport, I've acquired some little love handles and my tum isn't quite as flat as it was, so what? That's age, but there's no way that I am going to allow myself a beer belly and a third chin and the same sorts of criteria apply to a woman.
Anyway, I've never been the sort to want a barbie doll, they seem to spend too much of their time looking around to see who's looking at them!! Quite frankly, not my sort.....give me a real woman anytime.
You hit that nail well truly on the head there ibitadustbunny.
I would also add for any of you ladies reading this,
"Men are not as hung up on youth as you may think."
They are not as hung up on your body as you are.
For goodness sake Bellagirl, if the guy is going to run to greener pastures just because you're not as firm as when you were younger, then he's not worth having anyway.
There's a difference between not being so perky and putting on 50lbs.
Proportioned. Not carrying too any extra pounds. Not big breasted. Not skinny, or too slim, as sundance4956 said, OK to look at that's all. Not the five days a week serious work out types. Muscles on women are not good. Feminine to the eye. Can look good in jeans.
I've no problem with women adding a few pounds as they age, in many cases they look good for it, but on the otherhand, there is a limit. I can't believe that a woman is attracted by a guy who hasn't seen his best friend for 20 years because his belly is in the way.
Looks attract, but there has to be a personality behind it and a ready smile and ability to laugh is an absolute must. Women place too much emphasis on their looks/size, when I don't think they need to in reality. Just do the best with what they've got and that will be just fine, regardless of what the media portray.
I've never had e-mails from American men.....phew!...but I would think it's more the novelty value of you being from another country. I know it's still on the same land mass, but let's face it, many Americans still think of Canada as being snowbound 12 months of the year.
"A bull that broke from the pack seriously gored two American brothers, catching one on each of its horns during the running of the bulls festival in Pamplona, where both were recovering Friday in the hospital.
Lawrence and Michael Lenahan were gored simultaneously by the bull, which also injured 11 other people Thursday. It was the worst day for injuries in the nine-day festival."
I gotta California King Size..........................what a bloody waste that is. God, it looks a long way across to the otherside sometimes,LOL!!
Tell you what sxcscouser, I know you're from Liverpool, but I can rent it out to you. She's kinda cute and there has to be a bit of nationalistic loyalty in this world somewhere.
Hourly rental? You're a Scouser, so you won't need nightly will you?
Bella, please excuse me if I've read this wrong, but,
"Someone is waiting for you.... no more wasting time with this one..."
Comes across as if he's a piece of meat that you discard if it tastes bad. I think AngelicSmile did the right thing to make her thoughts known, but there's no reason why he should have reciprocal feelings. A shame he doesn't, but life's not like that. Do you date every guy that contacts you?
As I said, perhaps I'm inaccurate in my interpretation, if so, my apologies.
I didn't realize that I was loved by so many Chinese and Russian women and I haven't been around here that long.
I must have a very caring look as they see me as a comfort to them and seek my help. If I was to send them some money for their rent, for their sister who is ill yada, yada, yada. They must think I just stepped off the boat.
Don't even respond................no matter how delicious he looks, because it isn't him, not the one in the photo.
It's a bit like the number of wealthy African residents who wish to give me huge sums of money to help them get money out of the country, these wonderful, thoughful angels only need my banking details so that they can transfer the money into it.
It so simple really, I just can't work out why I am not mega rich and driving that Ferrari.
Ignore them all.
Of course, the real people, like wot I is, we're different.
That comment reminds me of the British comedian Tommy Cooper.
"Death while on the air.
On April 15, 1984, Tommy Cooper collapsed from a massive heart attack in front of millions of television viewers, midway through his act, on the popular ITV variety show, Live From Her Majesty's. Most of the audience thought it was part of his act and were laughing, until it became apparent that he was seriously ill. At this point the show's director Alasdair Macmillan cued the orchestra to play music for a commercial break and Jimmy Tarbuck's manager tried to pull Tommy back through the stage curtains where he was given CPR."
I appreciate your culture, please don't get me wrong.
I was in Madrid some years ago during the Feria de San Isidro period (in May) and was taken to where the bulls are kept in the days before they fight. It was very interesting and informative, but by the same token, disappointing. My host was very enthusiastic, telling me about the quality of the bulls and the specialist farms that they come from and the tradition involved.
I wouldn't go to a fight on principle, but did watch some on TV. It was all I could do to keep my big mouth shut and not express my views that perhaps it would be fair if the bull wasn't dead on his feet when the show guy with the sword and cape did his bit.
On another occasion I actually 'found' myself, by unauthorized entry in the Plaza de Las Ventas bullring, right out in the centre and although the stands were empty and there was no bull, it was an awesome experience................and it's a bloody long way to safety!!!
It should go the route of bear baiting and dog fighting and be made illegal.
The running of the bulls in Pamploma is harmless enough, not much fun for the young bulls, but when they spear one or two, I guess it makes up for it a little.
They are goaded and tortured by banderilleros and picadores until they are weak from the heat and loss of blood. They are angry, disorientated and frightened and then some ponsy geezer in a fancy uniform comes in and teases them some more until he decides to do the long overdue dispatch.
I can see both sides of the equation, but mine is of a majestic animal being tortured until death.
