I said I agreed with the multigeneratonal poverty to an extent and if you feel the government bears no responsibility and are all for the Constitution...then what do you think it's preamble means????

Ohhhhhhh it's over and Harper got back in...I don't like him though or his politics...he has own agenda and it's only to please a small portion of the country like Bush...and to hell with the rest of it...they were talking about a vote of non-confidence for him and forming a coalition government before Christmas holidays but he shut Parliament down before they could do it...and I haven't heard anything about it since...BUT I would be all for a coalition government in hopes of everybody being represented fairly at least....

I agree...I see that as the responsibility of government and society...The one thing I can't stand is this me me me time we are in...where nobody else matters...as long as I'm ok....everybody else has the same circumstances and I made it..soooooo why can't they....and Why should anyone else help...I did it myself sooo can they....Who shouldn't want a healthy country as a government and healthy people and to some how work toward that....To me that's success and functional...NOT how much money a country has...It takes people to make a country work...not just the almighty dollar....

I'm not a socialist...I'm a humanitarian I think...anyway...You can be whatever you want to be...I just get tired of people not seeing the whole picture beyond their own backyards...and yes I agree show people how to do things...but really it goes beyond that to break the cycle at least for those who you referred to as generational poor...and I disagree that there are some who are...BUT I think with the majority of people...it has more to do with circumstance...than anything else....
