I am always on time for everything. It shows respect whether for your boss or a date or a friend you're meeting for lunch
The irony is that doctor's are always late, sometimes an hour late. I walked out of a doctor's office when my name hadn't been called in 45 minutes after I got there.
It is never acceptable to be "regularly" late for anything. If someone is always late then that's a red flag for me that they aren't interested in me and would rather do whatever they are doing
If someone is late once in awhile I'll give them 10-15 minutes before I get irritated
