RE: Outrageous In 2020

OMG wow wow

During the debates and impeachment hearings I thought of her as a fake.

People in public service need to be appealing to the eye of their constituents.

That "ain't" gonna work with how she looks now........shock

RE: Should we teach our significant other how to love us?

Trust me, I don't get hung up on anything anybody says on CS.

I took a break from CS and came back tonight in this thread. I'm already regretting I didn't stay away longer.

RE: Should we teach our significant other how to love us?

I think you might have misunderstood what I was trying to say. It had nothing to do with being straight.

If a man said "If a woman has no clue about loving & protecting me then she isn't a real woman". That's what I mean about reversing the gender.

RE: Should we teach our significant other how to love us?

I don't agree with that Merc. If you reverse the gender in your statement it would read "If a woman has no clue about loving & protecting me then she isn't a real woman". That wouldn't make sense.

Each woman and man is different in what they like when making love.

To answer the OPs question I would have to say yes, we need to teach our new lover what we like. If we don't then they will go by the standards of their last lover.

A lover wants to please their S/O so in my opinion it's important to do what they like as well as tell them what you like.

When each gets what they want it can only lead to moving mountains yay

RE: could you live one day without your smartphone?

I have an AT&T iPhone and I don't like it. My daughter got a deal on it cause she wanted to be able to text me instead of a phone call. She has long thin fingers and will text indefinitely. I have short fingers so I can't do the fast texting that she does. To me texting should be 10 words or less. If you have more to say then that pick up the phone and call or send me an email. I'm still trying to get used to using voicemail on the darn thing.

A few days ago I had dental surgery and the dentist called me at night to see how I was doing. But it wasn't a phone call. He dictated into his phone which then converted it into a text that looked like this jjkkee93mmd;mmmd. I had no idea what he was saying except for a few words inbetween the gobbly gook.

I still have my old flip phone that was much easier to use.

What do I prefer? I prefer the landline phone that hangs on the kitchen wall or sits on your desk.

RE: Alien Life

That is exactly what I've been saying all along. We are sending signals out there hoping some one or some thing will respond thinking it's going to be a little green ET fella.

Chances are it won't be ET. It could be a very aggressive thing that wants to tear your body apart and eat it. Hoping for an alien you would see on Star Trek that Captain Kirk would welcome onto the Enterprise is unlikely to happen.

I think the alien we will find will be more like the one Sigorney Weaver had to deal with in her ALIEN movies. That thing always scared the beejesus outta me uh oh help

RE: Would you swap your childhood

I would swap my childhood in a New York minute.

I was beaten with a belt.
I had to wear hand me down clothes with holes in them
My father said he was sorry he adopted me

My biggest disappointment at a young age was that my father didn't go to my high school graduation. Instead he gave me a piece of jewelry.

There was no such a thing as talking to a parent about a problem I may have had.

There's more ....

RE: Will Santa clause survive Coronavirus ?

Santa won't survive because a smart parent won't put their child on Santa's lap so he could breath on them
If people ignore social distancing and crowd the malls the cases will climb and so will the deaths.
If people don't do Christmas shopping in malls the economy will surely go down the tubes.

I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye

RE: Is physical punishment good for children?

Beating with a belt/stick shows that the aggressor is angry. A smack on the bum to teach that what the child did might harm them.

My father beat me to a pulp with a belt when I was 8 years old. He beat me again with a belt when I was 12. Those beatings didn't teach me anything other than to be afraid of him which I was all my life.

I guess he learned the art of beating a child when his father beat him which I know he did.

My mother used to slap me alongside my head. When my father found out that she did that he warned her "don't ever hit the kids". confused

One day my sister was visiting me. She saw that my daughter had picked up matches that were in an ashtray and she slapped my daughter's hands. I walked into the room while she was doing that and I let loose on my sister to never hit my daughter again. I understand why she did it....I might have done it too......but she didn't have the right to hit somebody else's child.

When a parent expresses physical punishment on a child it is the parents way of showing disappointment in the child which inadvertently is the parent's disappointment that they slipped up on teaching that child something important.

RE: All Creatures Great And Small

The dog Casey stares out the window every day and the homeowner couldn't imagine why. After visits to the vet, change of food, more attention from the owner they finally realized that Casey is missing his cat friend next door who used to sit in the window everyday. The neighbor now has potted plants in the window so the cat can't sit there. Casey's human mom wrote a letter to the neighbor telling her about the problem.

What do you think happened? Did the neighbor say mind your own business? Did the neighbor move the potted plants? Only the video will tell you what happened.
