I am very familiar with Sheriff Departments as I have a family member who is a Sheriff's Officer in New Jersey. NJ has 26 counties and in the county that I am referring to Sheriff's Officers have seniority over municipal cops. Unlike Sheriff's Officers in the South the S/O in the North East are almost on the same level as New York cops who are without doubt the best officers in the country. I stand by my previous comment that a Sheriff Officer in most NJ counties would never get in front of a microphone/camera and threaten the public with violence. The Rules of Engagement are there for a purpose.
Sorry Gal, that dessert isn't appealing to me. I'd rather a scoop of strawberry ice cream or vanilla with chocolate jimmies on top. I hope you guys know what jimmies are?
Not much about me that is unforgettable but things that someone will remember are that I am loyal to a man in a relationship and loyal to a man/woman in a friendship.
I am a good listener. No matter how many times someone tells me the same story I still listen with intent.
The personal things aren't necessarily a "quality" but he will remember it.
A 20 year old who says he is in the military would never have the insight about women that you say you have. Only a man of experience would know that if you give a woman an inch she will give you a mile of her heart. Your point that men aren't emotional is right on point but that doesn't make them bad. Men are deep. If they truly love her they will show it and not just with something material. Men want to make women happy but they don't understand her emotional needs. A few do. I have a male friend who understands my emotions. And like you say, if a man let's a woman be herself he will find a true friend. I couldn't have said it better.
Whether it be law enforcement or the military each one practices covert action in order to get the suspects at a disadvantage.
The officer in the video tried to use scare tactics that won't work. In fact he sounds like a bully. I have law enforcement in my family in New Jersey and I know that none of those officers would ever use a tactic like the one in the video.
When an order comes down from the top they just do their job without going in front of a microphone and trying to show how tough they are.
Selen, there was a time when men thought of women as property. Even in today's world if a woman cheats on her husband he takes it as losing something that he owns. He owns his house and car. His woman is in the same category. Men are hurt deeply when their woman cheats on them because he sees her as part of him, as something in his life that is destroyed. If you read the link you will see what the laws were about woman back in the day.
Today's modern woman would never let a man think he owns her but there was a time when women didn't have a choice.
I don't mind wearing a mask. The thing that annoys me is what happens when I have an appointment with a doctor.
When I arrive at their parking lot I have to call them from my car to let them know I am there. I will be told that they will call me to let me know when I can get into the office. Then I will be greeted at the door for someone to take my temp and to sanitize my hands.
A couple weeks ago I didn't call them from the parking lot but instead walked to the door and knocked on the glass to let them know I was there. That's what I was originally told to do.
The person who answered the door told me to go back to my car. I was able to see that there wasn't anyone in the waiting room and yet they insisted that I couldn't sit in the room to wait for the doctor.
I put up a fuss telling her that it was over 90 degrees outside and for me to be able to sit in my car means I would have to turn the A/C on and use a lot of gas if the wait is long.
I won and was told to sit in the corner of the waiting room There was no one else in there.
I understand the need for social distancing but that situation was ridiculous. And I'm about to do it again today Maybe I should arrive late for the appointment so they let me in right away
Threatening people will only cause them to defy law enforcement. Instead of police saying we will do this or we will do that how about taking the road of prevention and working with people of color showing them how to get what they want within the rules of society that even white people have to abide by.
