RE: What is sensitive about men?

I think the most sensitive thing about a man is when you catch him in a lie that he can't get out of.

I've seen it on here when a man says that he didn't say something and then I prove that he did say it. That's when he logs off of CS.super

RE: Zero Replies

I've seen you before on here when your face was thinner. If you want an honest reply you look scary now. Others might not be replying because you are Muslim. I suggest you use the second picture in the purple shirt as your profile pic and delete the current one.

Another thing.....Your profile says "Not from USA..." Try being honest about where you are from. You are starting off with a lie.

RE: Who Let The Boss Out !!!

You have to be out of your mind to get in an argument with your Boss.

When you disagree with what he/she said it is better to make a suggestion instead of telling the Boss that they are wrong.

My last boss was an elder attorney who was very set in her ways. Often she would say how she wanted me to do something and I would make a suggestion how the project could be organized better but she always said.....no, do it this way.....and that's what I did without any further suggestions.

I think the scenario you proposed is more in the construction field of men wearing hard hats.

Thank you lovely GW. Just a pop in once in awhile when I see a worthy thread to post on.

RE: Retirement

You are correct Grand. We could apply when we reached age 62 but we wouldn't get full amount. Very few thought it was worth it to lose a full pension.

Years ago all we had to do was reach age 65 and then we could apply for social security. They changed the rule and based it on our age. So for me I had to be 65 years old and 10 months and I got 100% of the funds.

People need to understand how it works otherwise they could lose a big percentage of the funds. I started working when I was 14 years old but the government couldn't make me pay into social security until I was 18. So from age 18 to 65+ 10 months old there was a lot of money for me to collect from.

The thing that was great for me is I collected a social security check AND full wages from my employer at the same time. Ain't America Great !!

RE: Retirement

Hi darkbluejeans laugh wave

RE: Retirement

You said in post #24 that you had a government job. American have to pay into it. There are only a few people who don't pay into social security. The government doesn't ask, they just take it out of your check. You should check with your local social security office. You might have a bundle of money waiting there for you.

RE: What are you doing?

I just finished watching a movie called "The Last Full Measure". It's about a medic William H. Pitsenbarger, a USAF Pararescue medic who saved countless lives in the Battle of Abilene in Vietnam. He deserved The Medal of Honor but due to a dirty scoundrel in government was never awarded the medal until someone did some digging.

The settlement also dissolved the tobacco industry groups Tobacco Institute, the Center for Indoor Air Research, and the Council for Tobacco Research. In the MSA, the original participating manufacturers (OPM) agreed to pay a minimum of $206 billion over the first 25 years of the agreement.

RE: What do you cook with at home?

One other thing Gal, the air fryer that I bought has the best non stick interior that I've ever seen.
Most of the time I just wipe it with a paper towel when it's done cooking.
But if there is grease I wipe the grease and then put it in the dishwasher.

RE: What do you cook with at home?

That Nuwave was one of the first air fryers that came out about 5 years ago.

RE: What do you cook with at home?

I'm guessing that the Nuwave air fryer was also a toaster, also a broiler, also a dehydrator.
I learned a lesson many years ago not to buy an appliance that does more than you want it to do.
If you buy a stereo that is also a turntable if the stereo breaks down to the point that it can't be repaired then you also have to throw out the turntable.

If you really want a good air fryer think about buying this one which is what I have.

RE: What do you cook with at home?

I don't recommend it Chat. The recipe book says you can make eggs in the air fryer. My daughter did it and the eggs went all over the inside causing a big job to clean them out. Stick to a frying pan for eggs.

RE: What do you cook with at home?

Since I bought an air fryer I rarely use a frying pan except to make an omelet or scrambled eggs.
The air fryer saves a lot of clean up time in the kitchen.

RE: START YOUR DAY WITH A SMILE

For Maria ...

RE: What next.

Answering only for myself. I don't need or want a date. I'm better off alone without all the nonsense that goes with dating someone.

RE: START YOUR DAY WITH A SMILE

OMG, asking someone to smile when you don't know anything about them or their life is ridiculous.

When I was 14 years old I worked on a produce farm waiting on customers. They would bring me what they wanted and I put it on the scale so I would know how much to charge them. When the customer was finished shopping I took their money to the nasty woman who owned the farm.....the one who wouldn't let anyone near the register......and I gave her the customers money and she gave me the change to give to the customer.

One day the nasty owner told me to smile when waiting on customers. I tried to do as she asked but my home life got in the way of letting me smile not only on the farm but also in school.

Eventually the farm owner fired me. She didn't know what was going on in my life at home. All she cared about was giving the impression to customers that the workers were happy working there which they weren't.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another thing about smiling. A couple years ago the gymnast Simone Biles was on Dancing With The Stars. She had won the contest but wasn't smiling when she was awarded the prize. The host asked her why wasn't she smiling. She said "You can't win gold medals with smiles".
I understand why she said that but I didn't like it. Her mind is always focusing on twists, turns, jumps, anything to do with gymnastics. When I was working on the farm my mind was focusing on how my father was going to treat me when I got home. He could always find something to scold me with or find fault. Smiling was the last thing on my mind.
RE: Had no idea . . .
That's not the reason Mikey. See below ...
A nationwide eviction moratorium is set to expire Saturday night after President Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress worked furiously but ultimately failed to align on a long-shot strategy to prevent millions of Americans from being forced from their homes during a COVID-19 surge.
More than 3.6 million Americans are at risk of eviction, some in a matter of days, as nearly $47 billion in federal housing aid to the states during the pandemic has been slow to make it into the hands of renters and landlords owed payments. The moratorium expires at midnight Saturday.
Tensions mounted late Friday as it became clear there would be no resolution in sight. Hours before the ban was set to expire, Biden called on local governments to “take all possible steps" to immediately disburse the funds. Evictions could begin as soon as Monday.
“There can be no excuse for any state or locality not accelerating funds to landlords and tenants that have been hurt during this pandemic," Biden said in a statement.
“Every state and local government must get these funds out to ensure we prevent every eviction we can," he said.
The stunning outcome, as the White House and Congress each expected the other to act, exposed a rare divide between the president and his allies on Capitol Hill, and one that could have lasting impact as the nation's renters face widespread evictions.
Biden set off the scramble by announcing he would allow the eviction ban to expire, rather than challenge a recent Supreme Court ruling signaling this would be the last deadline. He called on Congress on Thursday to swiftly pass legislation to extend the date.
Racing to respond, Democrats strained to rally the votes early Friday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi implored colleagues to pass legislation extending the deadline, calling it a “moral imperative," to protect renters and also the landlords who are owed compensation.
Congress must “meet the needs of the American people: both the families unable to make rent and those to whom the rent is to be paid," she said in an overnight letter late Thursday.
But after hours of behind-the-scenes wrangling throughout the day, Democratic lawmakers had questions and could not muster support to extend the ban even a few months. An attempt to simply approve an extension by consent, without a formal vote, was objected to by House Republicans. The Senate may try again Saturday.
RE: I'm Thinking #2
When you or anyone makes an accusation it's always best to have a backup plan to be able to prove what you say.
Can you do that Mikey? I'm not attacking you my little cherub, I'm just asking for proof of what you say.
RE: Why "favourite" me if they don't communicate?!
Somebody may "like" how you think or how you responded in a post that someone wrote but just because they like what you said it doesn't mean they want to get in bed with you.
RE: I'm Thinking #2
Hi Merc wave
As you know I have been sick for three weeks. I have received 2 shots of the Moderna vaccine in May and June and thought I was safe from Covid but now I am hearing on the news that people who have gotten the shots are getting sick.
They aren't getting sick like people were a year ago because the vaccine is supposedly blocking their body from a severe illness.
I have been tested for Covid three times in the last two weeks because of my illness and each time it came up negative. Even so, I am still concerned that IF I have Delta it may not be strong enough to be detected with a Q-tip up my nose but nasty enough to make be sick. sad
