the Pope's chauffer

Thank you. I've seen a version where the patrol man thinks the passenger is the backseat is God because he has the Pope as the chauffer.

the Pope's chauffer

The Pope was tired and bored, returning from his extensive tour to promote his new book in the same old, bullet-proof Pope-mobile.

He thought to himself, "Why not? I could use a little change in my life!" He motioned to the chauffeur and said, "Look, I want to drive for a change....could do me some good."

"Oh no, your Holiness! Just relax!" replied the chauffeur.

Pointing with a stroke of his hand and exclaiming "Pull over", the chauffeur knew the Pope meant business.

Not soon after taking over, and with little driving experience, the Pope was flagged over to the side of the road by a Highway Patrolman, his siren blaring.

When the window was rolled down, the Patrolman looked horrified and said, "Just a minute, sir," and hurried back to his car.

Grabbing the radio, he nervously called headquarters. "Chief, I'm in really big trouble!"

"Oh no, Jack, who'd you pull over this time? The mayor again?"

"No, Chief, bigger!"

"Oh god, don't tell me, not that stupid Senator!?"

"No Chief! Bigger than that!"

"C'mon Jack! Who ya got, President Clinton?"

"N-n-no Chief, BIGGER still!"

"Well, my god, WHO THEN?"

"Chief, I dunno, but the Pope is his CHAUFFER!!!"

RE: Good Bye Phil- (username - Detente)

I've been away from CS for a long time and I just found out that Phil (Detente) had passed away. Though he suffered from depression he still had a great sense of humor. I enjoyed talking to him and reading his comments in the forums.

My deepest condolences to you Constanza and to his family.

Rest in peace Phil.

Here are a few that will put a smile on your face.

If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen defrocked,
then doesn't it follow that ...

Electricians can be delighted?

Musicians can be denoted?

Cowboys can be deranged?

Models can be deposed?

Tree surgeons can be debarked?

And dry cleaners can be depressed?
