Last week I got a check for over $1,000 from the local DA, paid by a crumb who stole my MC card to buy lots of stuff, agreed to at sentencing, on his way to our big house. The idiot did so at a Bigbox store, like they don't have CC cameras. More states are doing so.
We men love more than dear sweet life itself. But why did the creator design it that way? From the hard artificial ones' looks, usually with little resemblance to the live item, Women, and sone men, aren't exactly in love with the one goddess put betwen most of our legs at birth. In much of the world, and somewhat still here, when couples split, and kids are involved, men often are not treated as fairly as women by the judicial system. Alimony (dated concept?), property, custody, visitation, etc. Ouch fellas. Who says it's a man's world?
All, before I need to don the helmet and flack vest, sure, patterns exist in us men as well. Boys who live with abusive, alcoholic fathers are at risk for same as well. Same with prison. But oddly, in some cases, these experiences can also create tea totalers, who never spend time behind bars. Lots more. Cultural as well?
Far from the tree, no? Well, of course there are exceptions. Our Twins' Mom has a sibship with many challenges, and she became a medical professional. But often, sad and familiar patters form. Here in Maine, among the less well off folks, obesity runs among women in the family. Striking to see it if one ever meets grannies, aunts, sisters and girl kids, all with above 35 BMR's. Sadder yet is early, un-married pregnancy, often in early teens. I see it as cultural, typically seen as normal in generations of family lore. Granny, mom, and daughters all with child at 16, and on public support. But other dynamics are in the causal loop. A defiant sense of twisted pride. Not deviating from the family, or seen as somehow uppity. Probably lots more.

Yep, S. A Major reason many do. As with lots of professions and jobs. Lots enter for personal reasons, and they don't always belong there. But some do.
Yes, S. Especially if done with poorly qualified so called therapists. No shortage of these, and sadly, of folks who have tried a few, without help. Many actually cause more damage. I should know. Thanks.
Of course there are differences. And these often are a cause of considerable family stress. Often the main thing needing changes from a therapy standpoint. And sadly, the reason for many divorces and screwed up kids. But ya got to see 'em to treat 'em. Men refuse help more than the ladies, but are more workable, with someone who can relate and stand up to the BS.
