I get nervous when going to purchase parts for MC/cars/boat and a woman is at the counter. Eye doc, primary care clinician (FP-NP) and vets are all women. I'm affraid I need to try to work on this some. More and more ladies in such roles.

I jump up and leave with little excuse and say I need to be alone at this time. Added benfit---if you endure her long enough to get some of the food down, often you can eat and skeet away, leaving her the bill. Is any of this sociopathic? I need to know.
T, Our twins were HS valedictorian and near salutatorian, and endured bullying from the kids of toothless, low information, low life-tattoed parents. It is out there, as you say.
KN. I try always to reply. Just as you mention. Sure, I've gotten a few insults this way. But mostly I've gotten thanks, or questions as to why there's no match. Recently, one female kept pressing me for a more detailed answer, perhaps not happy with diplomatic kindness. The insult only came when I wrote, "ok, you asked for it. Too much cheap make up".
I get many replies, initial notes of interest, questions, and a like now and again. I engage with most to guage possibilities. The go around has lasted for long periods with a rare few. Most are either scammers, or dislike writing. Am getting better at early vetting to save time. Some acquaintances, and meetings. Still having fun and learning a lot. Except possibly for highest priced sites and private matching services, I really see little difference between free and pay sites. This one is the best. Occasional pearl in the sea grass.

Yep. their mom and I never married, and in this State, that means no 50:50 forced by courts on (typically) dad's assets. But I helped her and the girls, with housing, autos, education, etc. The right thing to do, of course, and zero scheisters to suck everyone dry.
Could be either. Just should be understood and interpreted, as it might affect the current relationship. And the old ones, for that matter. But today was helped by the twins' mom with a conjoint yard sale. In our case, better for the girls. Better for us. Worse for the lawyers.
Well, the term does have contemporary meaning. Decades ago, other, perhaps much less racy terms were used. Women called men "dreamy", and men used words like "dream boat". Seems like times may be less innocent.
First thing I do is to see if they have a healthy sense of humor. Very telling about mental health, intelligence, outlook on life, adaptability, sense of self worth and ability to self reflect/depreciate, and lots more. One figures out the rest as we go along.

Excellent point, MC. Mom and I weren't married, so in Maine, there's no crazy woman takes half law, if no marriage. I did it voluntarily, mostly since I really live well simply, do much for myself, and don't really need the Church altar boy money. The twin's mom is a class act, and isn'y that type. But she's also smart enough, as am I, to either avaoid the dying institution altogether, or insist on the all powerful pre-nuptial agreement. Why Not? Stops many fights, keeps lawyers begging, and vets away the gold diggers, all at once. Slick.
TH---as with much in life and human health, these things have many components. Genetics, culture, education,home life, diet, beliefs, etc. Used to be thought that it was possinle to be fat AND fit, based on poor thinking and data, such a a few obese marathoners. Best, unless you are 6-11", to become less heavy.
