Next time he comes over I will have to ask him again and if he says Muslim, I will tell him I do not want to know his religion but what nationality he is.
He does not practice the muslim religion but says his nationality is muslim, both his parents are and his Dad is really high up in the government before he retired, which he uses against us all the time to get what he wants.
I have a granddaughter who is half Muslim, plus 2 grand kids who are part native and one part black. I have no problem with the fact that they are half not white but my daughter does not want people to know that one of her kids is half Muslim because of the way she might be treated. I feel in this day and age to feel ashamed of the fact you are part Muslim and will be treated badly should not happen.
I guess I am not getting across what I am trying to say. In this day women's rights, morals etc. are quite different then in the day that Jesus was.
Jesus ideas are always that same but would the meanings be different in this day and age when women have rights now. The bible original language would likely be English written is done today where there would be less confusion of what the real idea that Jesus is trying to get across.
I was just talking about how do we know what Jesus was really trying to tell us when the Bible had been in a different language to start with, how do you know what meaning he was trying to say due to the values in that time. What is acceptable now would not have been acceptable then.
I am not talking about the Bible the way it is today, was just talking about if today was the first time that Jesue was here on earth and the bible was written just now, how would it be different. Not talking about furture religions or any religion.
My daughter and I was talking about this, the meanings in the Bible would be different now then when they were back then. Women would be mentioned more, and the rules likely would be different.
Yes, she complained about everything, when my kids used to come and visit she said she knew I had kids but did not think they would come every weekend, and she complained when my cat went into heat phoned and got rid of her. Was the roommate from hell.
My five year-old-son, he lies a lot, And I wanted it to end, So I told him about the boy who cried "wolf!" Hoping he would comprehend.
"He kept crying 'wolf!' when there was no wolf," I told my son, whom I adore. "When the wolf came to eat him, he called for help, But no one listened anymore."
My son's eyes grew wide; It looked like he got it; My heart was all aglow. But he dashed my hopes when he nodded and said, "I was eaten by a wolf once, you know."

Golf Chat
Three old men on the golf course, (Each had trouble hearing well) Were playing a round on a breezy day, When one blew over and fell.
"Windy, isn't it?" said one of them, While helping the other to rise. "No, it's Thursday," said the second man. And they walked off to exercise.
The third man had listened intently; Now he chimed in, with good cheer; As he followed the others, he called out, "So am I. Let's have a beer!"
