I should say this better, she was in transition and had to dress as a woman before she could get the surgery and ship knew her as a woman before he was told about her, and still treated her as a woman. Ship said in this thread that he had kissed and hugged her, which is different than when he said he is a rock.
I have wondered that for years, especially after the men I did marry turned out terrible. I started to think back about the men I did not want to go with and wondered what it would have been liked if I had given them a chance, but then at the time I had my reasons.
My daughter will tell me about something that has happened in the past and I have no memory of it, I try to recall what she is talking about but I truly do not remember. I start to wonder did she dream it or did it really happen, then I miss it as I would like to have remembered.
