Entertainment

I wonder if all of you, who take part of this forum realize how much laughter and smiles you offer to us. I don't write often, not only because I am usually busy, but also my English isn't good enough, mostly things appear different from what I want to say.
But I try to read as much as possible in here and I really enjoy it and I am sure there are many people who have the same expirience. There were lots of interesting threads in here in the near past, but there is so often real good humour and it makes my day when I read some of your thoughts early in the morning.
So maybe we can't write as well as you do there, but we do enjoy reading. So thank you for the entertainment you offer to us.Cheers to all of you from Greecewine

RE: I am ......

Thats true but if we don't try to fight the reasons why we are depressed we can't really feel better can we? and its up to ourselves to do that. We have to find the good things in our lives and there are allways some, even if we don't see them on first sight. Its also a matter of self-discipline I think, if we allow ourselves to fall down deep,it sure is difficult to climb up again, so don't let yourself fall, try to stay high!wave

RE: I am ......

Its up to you to change it!

RE: waking up is so hard to do

doesn't matter that you don't have the possibility to go to the sea, for sure its possible to make a nice walk somewhere there too. As long as you get fresh air in the morning, day starts much betterwave

RE: waking up is so hard to do

Good Morning to you too!I love to wake up-early in the morning, not at 9 but at 6 or 7. Its the most beautifull time of the day for me-with or without socks, sure with coffee and sure without ciggies.Best way to start it,with a swimm in the sea.Have a nice day!

RE: What are you doing right now?

Just now I am improving my English-never heard this expression before"more power to your ellbow"can only hope its not something badcrying But meanwhile I changed my water with a glass of winewine cheerios

RE: What are you doing right now?

Ok I realize this was a really stupid question-you can'rt write when you are working.I understood that after thinking hard.confused

RE: What are you doing right now?

Excuse me please-I have a question and maybe its naiv and stupid:Is nobody of the people here working? except Saseez who is going to work, returning from work , everybody else is either eating or drinking or having their feet on their office. I wonder how you do this-would like to learn it too.
But at the moment I am relaxing after a long day, having a nice cold glass of....water.But still I am happy, found a place for all the puppies I took home few days ago.So maybe in a short time the glass will not contain just water any more.wine

RE: What are you doing right now?

Who knows what you just had for breakfast

RE: What are you doing right now?

I am afraid you are right about that, and Greece is full of straying cats and dogs.We try to find a way to solve this problem(we-are really people from other countries) but its really difficult. They think different, especially my generation-younger people seem to learn easier, so maybe once things will be better-I try to be optimistic as ever

RE: What are you doing right now?

I can only agree with you. But there are too many problems like this here in Greece, its a fight every day to teach people to treat animals in the right way

Burning woods

yes I am afraid you are right

Burning woods

Greece and especially Attika has very few woods anymore. Now, since 3 days there are fires near Athens which burn whats left of anything green around the city. Usually those fires get started by people who want to sell land for building houses, and since its forbidden to build any houses where there is wood, they just burn it. What kind of people are that? They don't care about the trees, the plants, the animals which live in a wood, all the life which disappears with this fire. I can't understand that. Its so terible depressing to pass from a burned wood,I have done it and it was really an extremly bad expirience. You just get the feeling there is no life, no air no oxygene there anymore-well and there isn't really. Its really so sad!

RE: What are you doing right now?

Trying to see what I can do with 5 little puppies which I just collected from the garbidge. I heard them crying as I passed by. What kind of people are doing such an awfull thing, throwing puppies into the garbidge?

RE: How to word it in a polite way....

I don't really see where the problem is-you can just say you are not interested or not answer at all, whats so difficult about it?Anyway the scam don't appear as African or whatever they are, they pretend to be American or European so I don't think it makes much sense to say you don't want to be contacted by people of certain nationalities. You can't allways know whats true and false as long as you havn't been talking with them for a while.

RE: What are you doing right now?

trying to face another day-thinking of going to the sea for a quick swim before my grandchildren wake up!help

RE: Why do we "need" partners.....?

we need a partner so we can blame somebody if things go wrong, we can't be responsible for everyhting can we?

RE: I want a baby.

Well, thats what I said-now I have my grandchildren here and I tell you-I don't want any more babys. So just be patient, when your children will bring you your gandchildren so that they can go for hollydays, you wish for a baby will be satisfied, don't worry, time passes very fast.

RE: Can you turn negative energy into positive energy

Yes I think we can. We are not victims, we have the possibility to decide what we want it to be-its up to us to see things in a negative way or to give them a turn, a logical explanation and turn the energy into a positive one.

RE: Things ... they are a-changing......!

Here in Greece there are still lots of people who go just into the countryside and cut greens from wherever they grow, and they are among the most healthy people. But you might find lots of fig trees full of fruits which nobody will collect, not because they might be poisoned but because they are"better" when you pay lots of money to buy them in the super market.People don't shake much hands here anyway, maybe its too hot and hands are sweating so no change in that. But they still kiss a lot, no change there either.

RE: What are you doing right now?

I am just enjoying the peace in my place after my grandchildren fell asleep.I even have the chance to open my pc.And I am waiting that hollydays are over and everybody goes back home again.

RE: Lying about your age - is it acceptable? How much is acceptable?

Its bad to be revealed as a lyer-its sure not bad to have any age, whatever that is. And most of all whats the point lying about your age?I am proud of every year of my life, I fought for it, I passed a lot of difficulties to get there-why should I deny my years now?

RE: an sos to the world ..

since I am from another epoche,it would say"make love not war"!love

RE: 50 forward or 50 back ..

I am not so sure about the "improvements"for 2050-but I suppose since I was born even before 1950 I look back with some sentimentality to this time and thats why I would choose 1950.Of course there is progress in technic and healthcare etc.-but there will be new diceases as they always appear over the years and people still will be dying in 2050, as they died in 1950. There will be a lot of new things but still all the new is built on the history and culture of earlier times-so the 1950 will be the base for the improvement of the 2050 happenings. In any case we can't stop time so lets enjoy the moment, lets enjoy the 2009!

RE: My son.

Happy birthday to your son and congratulations the way you brought him up. I know its one of the moments where a mother feels so satisfied of her life, because its really what we are living for-to manage-and you did that together with your kids.
So did Marti and I am sure there are so many more mums in here, they all must be proud, because its a very difficult job to bring up our children and to"manage".
So happy birthday to your son, happy birthday to all our children and strength and courage to all the mothers in here!teddybear
