I'm empathic too but to a point.I just become burnt out of someones butt cheeks staring at me while I'm in the checkout lane.Especially when they're bending down to get something from the bottom of their carts.
This thread topic reminds me of a time many years ago. A lady and I were just happened to be in the same clothing store and she had asked my opinion whether the outfit she had tried on looked good on her.
Me being straightforward as I've always been and since she had asked me a direct question I simply answered "No".She became angry and told me that I didn't have to be so mean.I explained to her "Well If she didn't want to hear a direct opinion then don't ask a direct question cause I will give it".
Don't parents make their small children pick up up their riding toys instead of allowing them to leave them all over the street? When one goes to back out of the driveway you have to move the riding toys out of the way so you can back out.
Also the other day while in a grocery store I saw a mother with her 3 children attempting to place her youngest one in the cart seat part of her cart but the child refused to sit in it.Are some parents letting their children control everything nowadays?

I've had a knee issue but I don't recall a doc saying that was what you speak about.He referred to it only as being arthritis or a form of overuse.sometimes the pain becomes to bad that it trows me off my feet so to speak.
