silverfox, i know a man, who never married or had children and found a lovely lady in his 50s, she had two grown up daughters, they are happy and together, now. dont give up.
sadly in this country, if you live together, you never have the same rights as people who are married, especially if one partner dies. in 2008, there still is so much unfairness displayed towards couples who decide to live together.
alan dont get me started on judges, old men in dresses who send pensioners to prison, because they cant pay their council tax and allow rapists to walk free, this country needs sorting now and let national service, come high on the agenda!
beenabout, you are so right, discipline and self respect are sadly, things that so many youngsters are now no longer taught at home, when these values are, we do people a favour in the long run and help others to become better human beings. i think it is time that we brought back national service asap., in our major cities, we have already got anarchy on the streets. although many youngsters would be afraid of national service, as they were in the past, everyone who has ever done it, says, it is the best thing that could have happened to them. my only negative comments is, our country, is too soft and would allow people to opt., out, we need to toughen up our act, in every sense of the word.
so sorry to hear about all what you have had to go through. it is so true, it is the rubbish in this world that thrive and the good, that suffer. wishing you much luck for the furure!
there is damn all we can do about our government, they certainly dont listen to what we the people want or say. good for you for standing up and speaking out about how you feel, not everyone as the guts to do that!
