If I understand your question Steveno, Most of my attention of late is on who? That who being my Father who is dealing with aging and the difficulties and stresses that go along with it.

The rest of my attention seems to be spent on what. That what is, what am I going to do to deal with this and get through it without losing it.

Because humans are not a solitary species. We need companionship and friends.

Like many animal groups ~~ Lions have a Pride, Elephants live in groups, Geese pair up with a partner for life as do the Doves, and so on.

Given a choice of living your life alone or with friends and if you're lucky enough, a partner. I think most would choose the latter.

It's not rude when... you have told someone you are not interested and particularly when your profile says you are Not Looking, and and are here for forums only; then you see that particular person is now IM'ing you....... Frustrating!!!! When an IM comes through, it should come through with the ID of the person sending the IM. It would alleviate a lot of issues for both sides.

So I keep mine off until someone I do IM with lets me know to turn it on.

Hey, thanks for that info. When we went the last time I was just a kid, going as an adult, I'm sure I'd see and do the things you mentioned. Enjoy art and those Farmer's Markets, that's my thing. I'm also fond of Maine. Not being a big traveler I've done good for hitting each state on the Eastern Seaboard, but most of them were just driven through.

Perhaps when life slows down a bit, I'll be able to enjoy this beautiful country that we live in.

Well, like I said, it's been a long time. But being on vacation there is prolly different than living there. I found it quite quaint and very relaxing driving by the farms, seeing the horse and buggies on the side of the roads, going into shops and seeing wax candles being made. That's my style.

I'm not a big city egg. Never have been and never will be. I'm more of a Mayberry egg; where you know everybody and everybody says "Hey" when they see ya.

So "Hey to ya Landin"!

Many times it's because of chemo or a condition where a woman's hair falls out or becomes very thin.

Hair and eyebrows can be very important to one's self-esteem. Maybe for men that might be hard to comprehend. But if you take a look at your responses, maybe you'll understand why they do it.

It does. It's horrific, inexplicable. I've had it and do everything I can to avoid an attack. Drink plenty of water and take preventative medication. Knock wood, (or bricks) haven't had an attack in years!

My best friend growing up had a Beagel, BJ. A friend at work has one too, Scout. (Love that name). They are very talkative. Your look like one of the bigger ones. Seems quite tall. I'm not well versed enough to know the different heights they stand.

I've had Collies and a Bernese Mountain Dog in my growing up years. And loads of cats.

Memories are wonderful, think of her often, she'll make you smile over and over.

Seems to be a lot lately. Thursday was the last time.

The pressures and stresses of dealing with an elderly parent who has pneumonia, who will not eat & has lost over 30 lbs in 2 months, is in rehab and facing a two hour test next Wednesday with the possibility of life in a Long Term Care facility are enormous.

Having to file applications, take interviews all while working a full-time job is overwhelming. Enough to make you crack.

So I come here, it takes my mind from it, even if it's just for a little while.
