Don't let that stop you Tippy! There's a lot of "high school" type stuff on here, some of it quite amusing and a bit "cliquey". (sp?) But that's in real life too. Now and again you'll come across a real good thread and from what I've seen, even though it's hard to break down the CS newbie wall.... there's a lot of "Good Eggs" here.

A controlling partner is someone who "tells" you what to do, what you are going to do, instead of asking or suggesting, discussing. A controlling partner is someone who treats you as if you're nothing, with no worth, their puppet. Someone who says they love you for who you are then adds "don't ever change", but then asks you to do nothing but change in their actions.

Keep your eyes and ears open. I made mental notes along the way and when I started becoming physically affected, and the line was crossed one too many times... I walked away and took all their power away and gave it to myself. A massive weight was lifted off my shoulders with no sadness or wondering if I did the wrong thing. It was the rightest thing I ever did.

Never be sucked into the mind set that you have to have somebody. You're better than that! You deserve the best!

I would gladly be by myself and be happy, than be with someone and be miserable. You don't chose a partner to complete your life, your partner should compliment your life and vice versa.

Mrright, a loser you are not... Unfortunately the world is in financial turmoil. It has been there before, and it will recover and so will we. I hope you stay. My shell is a little on the fragile side and I tend to care a little too much if something negative is said to me whether in RL or here on CS, but I've toughened up over the years.
