I'm glad you enjoyed it - yes, it does place things in perspective. A few weeks ago I came upon this video shortly after donating to soldierwish.com - if you'd like to do more - donate and make a soldier's Christmas wish come true. Bless them all - I hope all their wishes get filled.

I do volunteer work @ the V.A. hosp., & it breaks my heart everytime I'm around those veterans. They have given up so much of their lives for us. The physical disabilities is easier to handle than the mental disabilities. Some of these veterans don't have family or a home. The look in their eyes whenever someone walks up to them, extends their hand to shake hands is heartbreaking at times. Some of these veterans just can't hold back the tears and break down and cry. It always makes me wonder as to what this person has gone through. Some are old, yes - but some are young. The Iraq, Bosnia and Afghanistan soldiers and vet's., need to know these wars were all not in vain.These people deserve, oh so much more than they are getting from the very people the fought for and the government that they've fought to save.
Please, reach out and say "thank you" to these people!. That's all they want. Just recognition! Let them know we all care!
