What you need for spicy Palestinian prawns

1 red onion, finely chopped
400 g can of plum tomatoes
1 tsp sugar (any type), or to taste
0.8 tsp ground cumin
0.2 tsp ground allspice
0.5 tsp caraway seeds
1 pinch sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp finely chopped dill
2 green chillies, finely chopped, or to taste
2 tbsp sesame seeds
400 g raw prawns, peeled and deveined
1 splash extra virgin olive oil
1 handful parsley leaves, chopped
