Lana , I went through a phase of doing the same thing as you would have to touch my other arm even if I touched a door with my right arm ,hand it didnt matter , I had to do the same with my left arm or hand, I was about 9 or so when I started doing that and did it for about 2 years, it did stop though ,I'm no Fraud but I think it, ie the compulsion, had to do with the onset of puberty at 11. No you are not weird as I it will go away when you are ready for it 2 , other than that ,think of it as a distraction ! perhaps stuff on your mind , it will work it self out !
if you don't mind, can I suggest one thing ? Don't stay in hotels , expensive,
wanna meet folk from all over the world make instant friends and companions? stay at a hostelling international, I do that when I travel, 20 or 25 euro per night, it can be huge fun,
its not like a hostel for the homeless lots of people make that wrong assumption, no its for people who travel and want to have a set budget
