My friend has a 1999 Ford Astro Van and the Service Engine Soon lite has come on several times and the EGR was found to be bad and replaced but several times later the lite came on again. My friend took the van back to the dealship and it was found that the codes weren't set properly. This morning I recieved a call from my friend saying that the service engine soon lite came on while he was leaving from work.
Here's alist of what the mechanic has done so far in tracing and repairing the an intermittent electrical problem. Any advice besides pushing the van over a steep hill.LOL
1.Read onboard car computer system trouble codes . 2.Re-set car computer memory and test drive the car at freeway speeds as the repair manual describes to see if the code re-appears.
3.If no code appears, give car back to customer to drive and monitor.
4.If a code does appear, retest all components involved with that code. If an EGR is determined to be faulty, replace with new, and KEEP old part IN ORIGINAL box for 30 days with customer name on it---or give old part to customer to hold.
4.If light returns, re-test and see if same trouble code returns. If same code appears (scratch head) and try something else, such as inspection of EGR vacuum lines, until check engine light is out.
5.Once light is out, re-install OLD EGR valve and give credit to customer. Bill customer for ALL time involved and only for parts that were used.
#1. I can either let life get me down and sit around all the time feeling sorry for myself and dwell in self pity.
#2. Or I can enjoy my time left on this earth doing good deeds helping others and spending time enjoying walks in the trails in the woods, spending time with good company of my friends.
I think I'll choose to do the things in #2. More fun.
Being attracted to someone means that there is something, physically, that appeals to one or more of your senses. They have a physical attribute about them that you find appealing. Hair/eye color, height, weight, the way they smile, walk, talk, dress, etc.
Having and emotional connection comes after we've spent some time with someone and have gotten to know them; or are getting to know them. An emotional connection usually forms because you find that you have common interests, similar moral values, have the same ideas on marriage and family, child raising, religious beliefs, etc.
Sorry I'm kinda off topic here but someone else mentioned being free.
Here is a list, in no particular order, of things that make me question our freedom.
Property taxes- We supposedly own our homes and cars but try skipping out on paying your taxes and see how long they are in your possession.
Seatbelt Laws- The makers of the law care so much about our well being, that they will fine us to make it crystal clear. Meanwhile, school children are still being bumped around on a school bus as if the padded seat in front of them will keep them from bouncing of f the roof of the bus should it flip.
Smoking ban- When I go to play poker in a bar, I won't have to worry about whether or not a smoker is being rude by blowing smoke in my face. Why? Because there will be a new law that will take away the owner's right to make a decision about the smoking policy in his/her own bar.
Bar Talk- Oh yeah, and if someone at my poker table says a few curse words, I may be able to just call the cops and have them hauled away. It may be possible due to a proposed law to ban cursing.
Cigarette Tax- “Raubin and Megan’s “On the Other hand,” covered this topic heavily. State employees are buying too much junk food. Therefore, smokers are going to pay higher taxes on their cigs to help the state employees make healthier choices.
Remember, almost every time they make a new law, we are losing another one of our precious rights. At the end of the day, it is important to stay aware and stay vocal.
