individual people are fairly intelligent for the most part but put them in a large group with a competitive goal like getting the first 10 dollar dvd player well it kinda reminds me of a caveman documentary i saw on the discovery channel . i don't even leave the house on black friday . too much trouble .
one of my older brothers ( we called him goob back then ) showed a little southern hospitality in a bar in ohio . they all got to messen with each other funny a first then then one of them there yankees couldn't take it anymore and punched goob in the jaw he put his beer down and said boy if that's the best you gonna do you better run . one of the big wigs had to go get most of the crew outta jail the next day so we could work . so that proves yankees have humer but a real thin skin .
i admire you for being honest and telling them politely that you weren't interrested . it's much better than just not responding at all . oh and yes it is absolutely uncalled for report them and they will most likely be removed .

i'm the shy quiet sort so online is the best for me nice and slow plus i live just to the west of middle of nowhere . there are bars like 50 miles away but i'm just not into going to the bar .
