My boys asked me why I don't like hunting and I told them:

"Don't kill the one you have if you can't make another one just like it!"

On being bad or dissobediant I would tell them, my own philosophy again:

"If you don't control yourself then someone or something will control you!"

To do with smoking or drugs and theft and murder!

I don't disagree with you and believe that every one should have faith in something to guide them through life! Something that gives them ethics and a moral code or set of rules to live by like the ten commandments!

But the truth is the physical things we have to deal with like realising where we live and our circumstance and how we can help others and thwart those that try to take advantage of our weaknesses! Again I think we are all physically bound to each other, if you want, all in the same boat ans should have faith in your fellow people, men and women to do the right thing and not do harm to each other!

I believe that your consciousness exists after your physical body is gone and integrates itself with a universal consciousness! My best friend, my older brother died last November and I know he's still around sending things my way!

I was trying to rent some rooms for instance, and I had just finished burying my brother and settling his estate and the next day I had four people call me. Three of them Janice, Valerie and Lorry, my brothers initials J.V.L.!
The fourth persons name was Henry which is my mothers initial! Her three initials are H.V.L.!
I never got any other calls for 4 or 5 days! I think he and my mother dent me a message ...

Note ,,, now in the Catholic church they won't provide a church service / mass for people who die that are not register with or attend the church on a regular basis!
My brother lived out of town and was sick for over a year and I had his body brought to Toronto to be near our large family!
I had to get some people from a Catholic religious group that my brother had belonged to, to convince a priest in a church to give him a funeral service. To get my grandson baptised is the same type of deal, if your Catnolic and the priest doesn't know you , your out of luck!

I think you know as much as the rest of us! Faith in yourself and faith in each other is probably a good place to start!

Makes me wonder if men had faith in women and women had faith in men what type of world we would have!

When you bring another person into your life, no matter if it's a child, your best friend, an aging parent or a new spouse you have to make room!
You may have to give up some of the things you do to make time for them like visiting people you love or playing some sports! Make space in your home and sell or throw out some of your stuff! You may have to get rid of a pet or tenants. You may have to change your work hours do you can spend time together! You have to change habits like cleaning up or walking around in your underwear or smoking joints indoors. You may have to curtail your friends and family from just dropping in unannounced. You may have to put out a little more cash each month for entertainment or food and you might start gaining weight! You may have to also bring in their children or parents!
You have to figure out if it's a sacrifice or a pleasure to do for the sake of a loving relationship.

My viewpoint is based on what I know or what I think I know!


I kind of believe in universal consciousness because of atomic structure and the physics of energy! We and all other things are joined together, inseparably! My mind and body are physically joined to yours if no other way, then by the atomic structure of the air and electrical fields around us! Like all the fish in the ocean are joined together by water, It explains why we know our loved ones are hurt or dead and a lot of other phenomena.

I also know the religious brainwash administered by those who would like dominion over us, and there's millions of them. For instance the fraudulent evangelists on TV bilking the faithful out of their life savings! The church of Scientology, the Later Day Saints, various sects of Protestants, Catholics, Islam, Judaism,the Mooney's, Buddhists, Spiritualists, Jehovah Witness, Church of Jesus Christ and the list goes on and on!
Each with it's own version of God and what He wants us to do!

There is a thin layer of air about a mile deep that we depend on to breath which is being polluted!
If we go a mile or so up or down we can't survive. Were surrounded by ocean water we can't drink!
Were being protected from being fried by a thin layer of ozone and a magnetic field!
Small particles of stuff like quarks are sailing through or bodies and so are magnetic fields, radiation and radio waves!
We are on a giant molten rock spinning at over 1000 miles per hour and hurtling at nearly 70,000 miles per hour around a sun hotter than a blast furnace and emitting deadly radiation.
There are giant rocks traveling at thousands of miles per hour streaking by us and any one of them could destroy us! Our whole solar system is hurtling at over 500,000 miles per hour towards some unknown destination or collision. We are travelling through a hostile void that's at about -270 degrees Celsius, or -455 Fahrenheit!
On top of that we have viruses and disease that kill us! Our food supplies are diminishing and populations starving!the ocean resources dying because of pollution and atmospheric change! There may be wars over fresh water!

We are simply like a fungus type creature clinging to hot rock travelling in a hell of a hurry to nowhere, yet we believe were special and protected by some mystical being called God! That's great because just about every country has their own version of God and some willing to kill the rest of us so their God is supreme on this fragile hot rock full of fungus shooting through an endless void! Whats wrong with Santa and the Easter Bunny?
Does it matter what you believe as long as it gets you through the day and lets you get along with the rest of us trapped here!

What do you talk about PREDOMIMINATELY when you first meet?

I made up this poll because I found in many cases the woman wants to know my past history especially with women.

Questions concerning how long married, how long divorced, who caused it, how many relationships, what are you looking for now, how many kids, where do you work, like a job interview! I;m not saying these questions are wrong but are they appropriate on a fist meeting,

I now avoid those types of question and start by talking about travel experiences or something away from relationships. My focus is to find out if we relate and can converse comfortably and see if there is any chemistry! The past is the past and I let that go a long time ago!

I take my son to the Madarin Chinese Buffet in Toronto and spend an easy $60 with no alcohol!
To go to a nice regular retaurant and order a good bottle of wine will easily put you in that range.
Four drinks in a place like the Keg is over $30 and if you add an appitiser, two steaks, desert and the tip your over $100 ! That's not even a top of the line reataurant!

There's not a man or woman on dating sites that doesn't prequalify a person with age, then looks, then what they have in common and then money because they may not be able to keep up with your lifestyle and expectations!

Standard entries in profiles: Fine dining (at $150 or more a pop) and theater ( Les Miserables-Ticket + Dinner from, in London £52.50) (Elgin Theater in Toronto to see Avenue Q -- one ticket $320) and you say you like travel and cruises (now were talking thousands) ... and your not worried about money!

There's a doctor on the site that makes over $150K and she's 50 odd years old. Most guys with great personalities don't have a hope in hell of keeping up with her lifestyle if your lucky you might get to date her until she sees you can't afford her~

If those things don't meet your dating / marriage criteria then you click on the next person because, not like the old days. there's always someone better on the net or in an ad in the paper! Mobility and advertising gives us all to many choices!

If it were just personality then certainly most of us would be married and not in the forums! Personality counts if you get by all the other stuff including tooth decay, bad breath, stinky feet and the wart on their nose never mind the money!!

Lets get to the punchline, "Ya! all I look for in a woman is her personality!" Ask a 300 lb woman how many dates and marriage proposals she gets because she has a great personality! I'm not trying to be nasty, just stating facts! The first choice is looks unless you have limited choices!

I dated a caucasian woman from South Africa that now lives in Ontario! I asked if she would like to attend a mutual friends wedding and she told me the gentlemen in SA pay for everything and suggested I pick up the tab for the babysitter! I did but only because I thought her son was a great kid and we had lots of fun together other wise I'm not so sure I would have agreed! I'm not certain because I've been out of the dating scene for many tears! She was not poor and owned two homes ....

I find on a lot of dates that the woman will have one of their adult children call, at some point, just to ensure their safety and at some point, the date will report in and say where they are and things are fine! I kind of like that!
