A relationship without drama, based on trust, respect and love. A relationship where your partner is your best friend, your lover.
A relationship where you work together supporting each other´s strengths and weakness´s in order to create a life together, to help each other achieve their goals.
A relationship that jealousy, ego and mistrust aren´t a part of.
A relationship in which you celebrate each other´s achievements and accomplishments without being threatened.
A relationship which is truly balanced with each person equally committed to making their partner happy.
(I posted this on another thread... it pretty much sums up what I´m looking for in a long term relationship)

There's not a man or woman on dating sites that doesn't prequalify a person with age, then looks, then what they have in common and then money because they may not be able to keep up with your lifestyle and expectations!
Standard entries in profiles: Fine dining (at $150 or more a pop) and theater ( Les Miserables-Ticket + Dinner from, in London £52.50) (Elgin Theater in Toronto to see Avenue Q -- one ticket $320) and you say you like travel and cruises (now were talking thousands) ... and your not worried about money!
There's a doctor on the site that makes over $150K and she's 50 odd years old. Most guys with great personalities don't have a hope in hell of keeping up with her lifestyle if your lucky you might get to date her until she sees you can't afford her~
If those things don't meet your dating / marriage criteria then you click on the next person because, not like the old days. there's always someone better on the net or in an ad in the paper! Mobility and advertising gives us all to many choices!
If it were just personality then certainly most of us would be married and not in the forums! Personality counts if you get by all the other stuff including tooth decay, bad breath, stinky feet and the wart on their nose never mind the money!!
Lets get to the punchline, "Ya! all I look for in a woman is her personality!" Ask a 300 lb woman how many dates and marriage proposals she gets because she has a great personality! I'm not trying to be nasty, just stating facts! The first choice is looks unless you have limited choices!
Then there's that tune .. "If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, get an ugly man / woman to be your husband / wife"!
There is a GENERALIZED thread of truth running through this distortion - but only a sliver of truth. A person with this kind of attitude probably does have a problem with relationships.

I think this is BS.....I don't care what someone does...as long as I am happy with what I do...that's the main thing....and I have my own money so I don't have to qualify anyone like I am a credit card company....So I guess that leaves attraction and personality....I also know plenty of bigger women who get dates based on their personality...there are plenty of men out there who like to date bigger women...so that puts a dent in your theory...
