There is something diffirent in the air, always for me on New Year's eve - even if I spend it alone. Tonight my 17 year old son and self. Last year I spent it with a fabulous CS'r - in cyber space. Happy new year gozo.
Turned into a gathering at my youngest brother's place. Plenty absent but as it turned out table set for 13!!!
A joint effort - stuffed turkey, roast lamb, glazed gammon and tongue. Sweet potatoes, roast potatoes, greenbeans and two salads. Three deserts - loads of beer - friggin hot day and wine at the table.
Works both ways. Blame it on the movie and the advertising industries. Being rude is fashionable and kids now know everything - their parents are all plain idiots.
Old people are fools as well now - their advice gibberish and tiresome.
All I can say is that I love Gordon Lightfoot and if he should ever come to South Africa I'll go to see him - but if Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan should come I'll win the Lottos - buy out all the tickets and keep them all to myself!
On tv - I don't want to set the world on fire - what a gorgeous song.
